    Question: how does one not know they are color blind ? Is it levels of being color blind?

    • @TAnimations
      @TAnimations 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Because they live life day to day experiencing different color variations than we do, and not even notice it. I'm pretty sure there aren't levels of being color blind, but they just naturally assume that everyone sees the same color variations like they do, and just not realize that non color blind people see color a whole different way. Being color blind is very rare, but if you can very clearly distinguish between orange, green, blue, pink then you definitely aren't color blind. They just see different shades of the same color.

    • @kelsy5552
      @kelsy5552 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not hard to do, I’m red/green colorblind. I’m also a female so it’s more rare for women to be colorblind, I didn’t find out I was colorblind until my son was born and got ready for school he did his eye exam and we found out he was colorblind. I just naturally assumed the colors I was seeing were the colors everyone else was seeing. So I never knew. There was never a situation that arose for me where I needed to know that I was.

    • @TAnimations
      @TAnimations 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kelsy5552 I never knew people who are colorblind can pass it on to their children. It must be pretty awful to be colorblind, you're missing out. Ever heard of those glasses where it corrects colorblindness so they can see the color that other people see?

      @jamiela-taylia7480 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey Kyle, can you go over the new process of picking a job?? I talked with my recruiter the other day and now you have an excel sheet (basically) on their computer. You put a AFCS and it comes up with a percentage. I think you have up to 10 or 15 slots (can’t remember fully) and the jobs you put on their have to sum up 100%.
    So I put in an admin job and it was 1%, which means I have to find other jobs to make up 100% on my list.
    But I put in a mechanic job and alone it was 101%. Does that mean it’s 100% open and you’ll most likely get it??
    It was a quick look and I didn’t really ask because I was in the moment of figuring it out lol
    Basically you have to fill the sheet to make 100% now. You can’t just “blindly” put a couple jobs and that’s it.
    Also they changed a couple things. I swear surgical services & pharm used to be in General but now it’s in Admin.
    Also I heard medical is under new contact and most are going to be civilians in the next couple years. So medical jobs will be sparse.
    Can someone let me know how it works?
    Has this always been going on and I’m late??
    I’ve been trying to join for awhile just been waiting on waivers and after months finally sat down with my recruiter.
    Thanks!

      Job Selection in DEP is different between each recruiting squadron. The process your recruiter asks of his DEP will be different than the recruiters across state lines. The recruiters often have their hands tied because the decisions are made by their boss and their boss's boss above them. This is why so many conflicting answers can be found on the internet because of different rules for different areas of the country. Here is a useful visual www.recruiting.af.mil/About-Us/Groups-Squadrons/ .
      Some DEPs only require you to list 5 jobs and no aptitude indexes and other DEPs require you to list 15-20 jobs and multiple aptitude indexes. Those are 2 extreme examples and most recruiters will be using something in the middle of those 2.
