Thanks for posting this, I think it is extremely important to share results that did not go your way as well as your successes. It goes a long way with your audience and it is good to normalise something that is part of the process for so many. I shall be using your structure to prepare for mine coming up so thank you. I hope you are enjoying your TC so far!

This is so helpful! I just finished getting my paralegal associate’s degree and it’s now time for me to start applying for jobs, but I’m terrified. I feel like there’s so much to prepare before an interview, which is very overwhelming but this video gave me some good ideas about where to start :)

Listen regardless of the results, the steps you took to prepare were on point.

I completely resonate with what you said. I had my TC interview and I didn't get it. The feedback was that 'i didn't have enough contract law expetience' despite telling them in my cover letter and CV that I didn't. And they said everything else perfect. Even for my Freshfields paralegal interview (which I got) went really bad but I still got it. And I lowkey know that it's because I have language skills but the feedback was that 'i prepared very well for the interview' 🤷🏻🧢🧢🧢

Thanks for this! Agree that Grad Rec sometimes don't seem to understand the time we invest as applicants. Before Christmas I spent hours upon hours on an application, only to find out today that it will not even get looked at unless I attain a certain percentile in the Watson Glaser. So frustrating.

No worries at all, ah I get that's annoying tbf - it should have perhaps been more transparent that the Watson Glaser plays a part in the initial application stage. Keep your head up Lauren, you will get there 😊

First, are you working as a paralegal?? If so, would you recommend some tips on how to succeed in this program and get a job in any law firm as soon as possible? I am currently living in the USA and looking forward to pursuing a paralegal program.
Do we study mathematics in this program because I am horrible at math? I’ve done my bachelor's in economics and political science. I’ve also done my master’s in public administration.
To be honest, I am not fluent in English like you so please recommend how I should improve my communication skills when dealing with clients or anyone.
    Thank you,
    Shraddha Patil.

Hi there. I'm currently a trainee solicitor, but I used to do paralegal work yes. I'd like to clarify I've not done any paralegal 'program', I've mainly done it as a full time job. Therefore, it's not something I studied for. There will be elements of mathematics in your day to day job sometimes (depending on practice area) but I've not experienced anything complicated here. To improve your English, I'd just recommend practicing conversing in this language. Of course, I'm not a linguistics expert and this is beyond the remit of my channel, but I'd like to think the more you practice speaking any language, the better you become at it. That's how I've been approaching speaking punjabi :)

@@simranjeetkmann Thank you so much for your precious reply. 🙏🙏🙏🙏I would like to ask you in which subject you have completed your graduation or higher studies??? I also want to know is it necessary to get an associate degree in paralegal course to get a job. Some of my American friends suggesting me that I should apply to any entry-level jobs in the law office then after getting some experience there will be high chances of hiring. Do you think this would be a good idea? I just need an honest suggestion sister.

A year later and recruiters are still doing the same thing it is really annoying, especially for paralegal roles.

Hey, do you have to study law to go into this? I’d like to become a Legal Secretary as I enjoy writing, drafting documents and speaking to clients.
