Thanks GK. Great video. You mentioned Kubernetes for Canary Deployments. Most of the CI CD Pipelines I see basically update the image (using kubectl) using the rolling update feature. How are canary deployments done in Kubernetes? App Engine definitely uses the canary model and traffic splitting. I guess to do this using Kubernetes there will be a bunch of infrastructure overhead. Your thoughts?
Thank you Asad..Appengine makes it easy but you can achieve the same using k8's too by deploying a new app alongside the existing app and using Istio to control the % of external traffic.
Recreate will remove all old resources and create new ones Blue Green - The old instance will be running and traffic will be rerouted to the new deployment. If everything goes fine old one will be scraped else traffic will be sent back to the old instances
Hi guys...I m going to do Masters in Cloud Computing...I m planning to buy a laptop for the course..can I choose AMD Ryzen powered laptops as those are little cheap when compare to Intel counterparts...any limitations with Ryzen chips like the coding,or other pgms we install for studying Cloud ? I should choose AMD Ryzen or Intel i5/i7...pls suggest

You should be fine. Also remember, When you are learning cloud you would provision resources on cloud so even chrome book would do :)
