    I am so glad that you went over databases that's like the main thing that causes pain on blue green.

    I spent 8 years in DevOps, and this was an excellent illustration. Succinct and to the point while still being very informative.

    Thanks for putting this together! Why the specific colors blue and green? What's the origin of this? :)

    Any chance you can do a .NET/Graphql API example for one of these vids, Wes?

    • @WesDoyle
      @WesDoyle  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Nice idea, Grant. I've been meaning to record something about GraphQL... I'll put it in the queue! Thanks for the message!

      Wes Doyle Even if it’s a basic hello world .NET/Graphiql api, I think showing how to run the basic query from Vue to that api would be very helpful/useful for a lot of people who use .NET

    very good tutorial, but the video quality is poor. Raised quality to 1080 and it didn't help.

    Not on cloud yet, how can this be achieved "on premise"?

    • @QueridaPlanta
      @QueridaPlanta 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ultra simplified: More your DB to the next version first, then test that it runs with the old version UI... ideally you'd want to mimic the system being used in prod, or maybe a fraction of the volume and users. Then you point the deployment to the new UI (he uses a DNS, in my case it's my config file that points to the new app server), verify that no records were lost or compromised, action flows/workflows that started with the old UI can be completed with the new UI; functionality still works, etc, etc
