    Just going to do this myself after finding out that mine is leaking, thanks again Chris!

      That is a weakness of most of the Land Rover diesel engines. Poor design. Good luck with it. Doesn't take too long to do.

      All done in the afternoon, was pretty easy because I already had the rad out and fan off ready to fit my new intercooler. As expected, lots of silicone rubbish to remove.

    Great video and instructions. Is it ok to just replace the water pump and gasket without the P gasket or should they be done at the same time? I have no leaks but just a noisy pump bearing. Thanks

      If the P gasket is not leaking don't worry about it unless it looks like it has lashings of silicone on the joint then it may be a cause for concern.

    This is a good video it helped me along. Now I need to replace the heater matrix in my disco 300. Do you have any video tutorials to do this? Thanks in advance for any help.

    • @trailerfitter2
      @trailerfitter2  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      No sorry none on the discovery. It need the dashboard taking out completely to access the heater matrix and blower unit. Not easy but at the same time not rocket science. Have a look at the body section of the Discovery workshop manual.

    Just a question, HS 2.5 and 300Tdi are the same right ?

    • @trailerfitter2
      @trailerfitter2  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Igor Lollato HS 2.5? Which engine is that?

    • @IgorLollatoTrevs

      ***** I don't Know, i have a 300Tdi, at least I used to call it that way, my motor is the same as the one in the video, but when I try to buy the Water pump the seller cant find a motor called 300Tdi, he says that the motor of the one ten made in 2005 are the MWM HS 2.5 for model Euro 1 and Euro 2, so i went to check for plates on the motor and I've found a plate with exactly that " MWM HS 2.5 ", is it possible to be the same motor just being known as different names ?

      Yes most possibly. Terminology can differ depending on parts suppliers.

    Thanks for your vid! When the gasket is leaking is it easy and visible to check the coolant leakage. Where to search for?

    • @trailerfitter2
      @trailerfitter2  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      coolant leak will be visible on the side of the block under the water jacket gallery to casing joint.

      Thank you very much for the tip.
      Yesterday my 300 tdi temp gauge touched the red color, I stopped, waiting 30 min to cool off and then filled it with new coolant and did the bleeding. After this I could continue the trip and even push the engine a bit, always with a steady temperature. What might be this?

    • @trailerfitter2
      @trailerfitter2  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Low coolant level perhaps?
