Stern didnt want to see them, hated the bad boys.
Isn’t there a video of jordan saying he didn’t want Isaiah?
Not just Stockton, Isiah should made it before Chris Mullins, Clyde Drexler, Christian Laetner
Nah Clyde belonged on there. I think he finished 2nd in Mvp voting in 1990. You are correct about Mullin and Laettner though.
nope
Scottie
@@jamooree Isiah's Pistons dominated Portland in the finals, that was my deciding factor. Two stars Isiah and Clyde went head up and the Pistons won 4-1 and Isiah was Finals MVP
@@debo6012 I agree
No, he should've made it over Christian laetner
FACTS: 1. John Stockton IS the most fundamental point guard of the 20th century. 2. Isiah Thomas has more championships than JS. 3. Stockton was part of the most successful 1-2 punch in the NBA 4. Isiah could and DID take over games, necessary to win, whereas that was NOT Stockton’s strength. That said, I would’ve put Isiah on the team, BEFORE Stockton, given he had more accomplished stats when that team was created AND was a more complete player. Stockton has and should continue to get mad props. I would’ve left Laettner and Mullins off of the team and had Isiah and Shaq.
You can tell Isaiah was a more complete player by all of his all team and defensive team selections, oh wait nm.
They should have sent the college players. Shaq as center. Laettner as power forward. Grant Hill as small forward. They would have won the gold without the pros.
After losing the previous Olympics they needed to make a point. That point promoted the game and the Olympics very well.
David Robinson should not have been on the Dream Team. He was on the 1988 Olympic team that LOST
Just cause the celtics do an unsportsmanlike act doesn't mean it's ok to do the same thing to a completely different team. Shows less class to do the same thing to another team by the pistons and I was a huge fan of the pistons at that time. others have mentioned the chemistry would have been off and I would agree if multiple players already on the dream team had a dislike for IT at the time. That said his skill and accomplishments on the court definitely justified him having a spot on that team.
Dominique should've been on there too
I agree but he hurt his achilles
In no galaxy should Isiah have been on the dream team over Stockton. First of all Isiah would bring down the entire team with his attitude. Yes he did score a little more but he was nowhere near as efficient as Stockton. The dream team had enough elite scorers they needs a court general that’s going to put the guys in the right position to make those plays, and Stockton does that ALOT better than Thomas.
I thought that also because just like in All Star games Zeek would get off
Isiah Thomas and Kevin Johnson both should have been ahead of Stockton.
Based on what? Kevin Johnson?
@@Markdfadf KJ had slightly better stats and he took his team deeper into the playoffs at that time.
Isiah Thomas should've replace Laettner
Salley high 😂
Isiah has never gotten over the fact that two guys from the South, made him an afterthought in his own city. Still eats him.
i think hes doing fine, most people get hated in their home town more often then people think.
Also Bird didn't stand up for a fellow Indiana guy.
But magic wasn't even in the NBA ,if anyone shouldn't of been on the team .....
Nobody on that dream team liked Zeke lol. Magic, Jordan, Scottie , and Bird.
So F’N what that’s what the Celtics did. That doesn’t make it right. If the Celtics would’ve jumped off a bridge does that mean the “bad boys” would’ve too? Aight then. Mike didn’t do that to y’all so y’all shouldn’t have done it to him. What’s right is right and wrong is wrong. And stop that “Zeke would’ve outshined em” bs. Uncle Salley you know you the Unk and we can dig that but c’mon really. Mike was already Global. You saw that skyscraper size billboard of him with that dope as Nike pattern design. That’s ish is still hot to this day. Zeke was a local joker only. Much respect to Zeke but he know he lost us when he signed with Knight. And put sum dam respek on John Stocktons name. No he wasn’t Zeke but dammit he’s a bonafide HOFer. He earned that respect and he deserves it. Blessings to both you OG Unks. Uncle Shannon keep up the good as job you’re doing!
These media people be making stuff up jordan never said he not playing if isiah is on the team
ofc bill would be the one to bring that idea up smh
USA 92 won the gold. they didn't need him there so who cares, if they lost then you can say such and such should have played but they didn't so this is a no-story.
But Christian Laettner deserved the spot smh
I thought i was the only one🤣🤦🏾♂️
He met the criteria, but wasn't selected.
stockton?? nah they should have brought him instead of the college guy.
Karl Marlon said he said it.
Shannon still a sell out. He played in NFL. He a HoF. But Shannon get NO passes from us.
Wtf are you talking about bruh?? Lol you’re on some different ish speak for yourself my boy lol
in 91 stockton was better...
he was all nba and all nba d teams, while isiah was neither. last time isiah was all nba was in 87.
nobody cares about the truth, the bad boys are one of the most hated teams EVER!
Shaq should of been up there over Christian Laettner. I don't particularly agree on the Thomas over Stockton I think that's a reach.
Shaq wasn’t nearly as good a college player as Laettner that’s why he wasn’t on the team…and IT was better than Stockton period
Laettner had just finished what is considered to be one of the all time greatest college careers while at Duke. That's why he was chosen over Shaq.
Detrooooiiiitttt Bas-ketbaaaaaalllllll!!!!
Not true the team didn't need more scoring john was great assist man steals and three's and high I.Q most of all his personality was what was needed Isaiah would be mad he was like 6th opinion at that point in his career especially on that team
No he just wanted to be on the team in general since he missed his chance in 1980 because of the boycott
@@mg19cal ? Was should he be on team over Stockton what u talking about
Well, I think these other guys held a grudge against Isiah. And they knew he wouldn't be content being a role player. Stockton would be content being role player and give the other superstars more shots with the ball.
Over Christian Laettner
So why didn’t Chuck Dailey didn’t vouch for him?
Why ? They had Magic and Stockton to pass the ball to the scores
So now the Celtics are to blame…got it…real quick…Shannon was playing football, not gymnastics, right?
Why would the celtics shake your hands when you play so dirty
The most significant point in the interview was the last thing John Salley said!!
look, I HATE Thomas still to this day...but he def was great enough of a player to be on that team
Isiah was a jealous trouble maker, and he still is. They did the right thing leaving him off the team.
I wonder who stopped that from happening? …I hear oldheads saying players these days are soft … lol
