Exaction Squad built all Subductors is the S-tier meta unit for Agents in 40K. The only reason not to run 2 is if you're running 3. Scouts could be fully one-box with no extra expense if you managed to grab 4 copies of the scout mini-of-the-month (which simultaneously lets you build every operative for KT and 2 5-man 40K Scout Squads with the good wargear options).
Thank you for doing this vid. I am new to kill team and didnt know where to start. Going to be playing with a friend for funs so knowing what to buy for my first box is wicked thank you
Missed out Farstalker Kinband, they’re totally a one box team. The warrior options don’t actually come with the right amount of guns in the kit (only two kept scatterguns in the kit). Plus you’re not taking them for the warrior option anyhoo as the specialists do all the heavy lifting).
@@MrTumnus1987 They could have been tacked on the end, BUT, they have just as many options as most other teams. Leader can be built 3 different ways, gunner has 2 options, warriors have 2 options. No spare bodies to build the extra gunner and leader loadouts!
The plague marine warrior is actually just another specialist (as you're restricted to a single operative of his kind, and his datacard is wholly unique and fill a role that no other operative in the team really is able to do), and I'm not at all sure that you always drop him... I think both the grenadier and the fighter can be dropped in favour of the warrior. But it all comes down to what opposition you face. 🤷♀️
Cheers Andy! I picked up the Yaegirs as I liked their Space Dwarf aesthetic, and they do well as a Squat gang in Necromunda. Good to know that if I decide to start KT, then I don't need to buy more!
Kommondos are able to field everyone including one boy and the grot and squig. If you want to field more than one boy is when you have to make decisions like dropping those guys or another unit. But you probably wouldnt ever do that.
@@williambeattie8529 Haha, happy to have you! Of course my generic KT faction shorts are just fun, but I thought I'd try out each big video also getting a short directly relating to it, see what that does for me
Kasrkin are a pretty good one box team, think about it, You play all the specialist and your gunners You pick The three optimal option (Plasma, Melta and hot shot)
@@michaelsalyers9470 I don't magnetise and I feel it's quite a caveat to have to add on top of everything else for newer players. But yeah, if you're willing to magnetise every team is legit one box (except the ones that aren't)
@@Sa3vis Hmm... Honestly, I don't think they really are. In fact I think Hivestorm gives us two terrible intro teams. They both play uniquely to every other team, and so they're not good beginner teams. If you like the teams you can of course play them, but no other team is fully fly, and no other team has weird hot drop mechanics.
Accurate 2 Hello! I have to disagree on Nemesis Claw - the Flamer is not as good as a Warrior with Bolt Pistol & Chainsword - especially if you’re up against a 7 wound team. The flamer is still underwhelming in KT24. If GW wants flamers to be viable they need to have them all set people on fire like the Novitiates team’s flamers do as a weapon ability on a crit. Make all flamers 3/3 & change the inferno firefight ploy to bump the damage by +1 to 4/4 (or give them a different ploy).
@@CrimsonTemplar2 I agree that in general the flamer is still not the weapon to take, even if you're getting lethal 5 on it always. But comparing a warrior to the other options, a plasma and melta... I'm taking the gunner!
it pleases me to see that death korps are not mentioned in a one box killteam vid as they can be run as 10 but the rules say that 14 could also be run so one box of 10 (newly released box at that) are not a one box team.
How would you build Wrecka Krew from one box? My probably choice is the following: Nob with pistols, demolisha, krusha, rokkitteer, 2 fighters. Or should i give a chance to gunner and instead of 2 fighters, build 1 fighter and gunner?
Nope, you got it right. No gunner. You're covered for range with rokkiteer. Nob could go pistols or hammer, I'm still undecided. I've had some really good luck with his pistols, but I'm not sure I wouldn't have been better with the hammer tbh.
They can played as a single box, just don't bother with the medic or whippy girl, build flamers instead. That's all you need, I've found no reason to need the other 2.
With the Death Guard Im the other way, leave out the fighter unless youre fighting a hoard team. The Warrior brings the plague round shooting Bolter to poison your targets.
@@kameron857 Weird nail to pick, but yes, there are a multitude of alternative ways to get miniatures other than using official GW. This video however was about one box teams. If you just buy recasts... they still aren't one box lol. If you're going to not use GW, there are great 3d printed options out there I'd recommend.

So glad to see another one of Your videos live! :) Thank You for Your great videos! :)
It would be great if kill team was a complete one box per kill team game. It should really see itself as a gateway drug to the full 40K experience.

Id be interested in a 'one box' team game mode - a restricted list version basically
Recently GW got me pretty hard, the new KT Brood Brothers box does not contain additional leaders :/. Had to get them separetly.
Yeah, that's a real rough one. It's double the cost but you only get like 3 more models
