10:00 To answer that, you don't hear this in the boss battle this is your battle theme as Vergil. The game has a real time counter to see how good you are at it. The better you are, the more of the song plays out same with all of the battle themes of the protags. And for the, "Show me your motivation" is a quote from Vergil from DMC3 and then became really famous in Marvel vs Capcom 3 Special Edition.
Great song analysis!! Just wondering if you would entertain reacting to Crimson Cloud from DMC5? Ahhh... It's been a hot minute since I played the game. And don't feel bad for playing the DmC reboot game, it's really not too bad. Also fun fact - someone made a mod replacing Vergil with Rean when playing as Virgil, it's pretty insane, there is a video floating somewhere on TH-cam.
I personally think Nero has the best song in this game. Dantes kinda sucks. Vergil has 2 songs, but the reason why is a spoiler. And I will now give you the most accurate DMC lore with the least amount of spoilers possible: Dante and Vergil are the twin sons of Sparda and they are identical twins actually. Sparda was a cool demon who sealed away the demons to protect the humans and his human wife. Which was 2000 years before the games. So in my parallel universe he had an older half demon daughter who is my OC and who has a True Ancestor Vampire guy for a partner. They also have a half vampire kid who is a blacksmith. Anyway, ignore my OC character lore for now, it is only in my head and not official. So Sparda had a human wife and they had 2 half demon twin sons. One day, while daddy Sparda was away their house was attacked by demons and while Dante was hidden away by his mom, Eva, Vergil got attacked by demons and his devil trigger saved him. But because Eva got kinda murdered when she went to look for him, he was all alone and had to fend for himself. I think the boys were like 8 when this happened? Dante also grew up fending for himself but he also changed his name for a while and grew up very in tune with his humanity, like his mother asked him to, while Vergil embraced his demon side and despised humanity for being weak. So the first game in the timeline is DMC 3, where Dante opens his shop as a devil hunter and then he gets a very nice invitation form his Bro to a fun party and he goes to a tower, collects a bunch of devil arms, gets shot by an angry girl who is out for vengeance, Vergil does some stabby stabby and gives his bro a devil trigger, they all get folded, Demons spawn out of the tower, they have some character moments, Vergil helps resolve the situation, leaves to fry some bigger fish, gets folded in the credits and Dante has big sad. In DMC 1, Dantes store gets raided by a chick on a motorcycle, who stabs and fries him with lightning. She then asks him to go to an island where a big bad guy lies in waiting. Dante collects more devil arms, has another big sad due to a Boss, stuff happens, there is an emotional scene with very cringe voice acting and then the Big bad guy that really hated daddy Sparda gets folded, credits roll and Dantes renames his store. Then the anime happens and in the anime we learn that Dante loves strawberry sundays and his German actor was actually really damn good. Patty gets introduced and she actually gets mentioned in DMC 5. DMC2 has another new playable Waifu and I actually have no idea what happens in this game, except Dante is very moody and every fight can be solved at range and then Dante fights some big bad demon and stays in the demon realm to fill a hole or something so no more demons can get out. DMC 4 follows our new white boy protag Nero, who is directly related to the Sparda bros, which was not directly stated in this game but heavily hinted at because of the hair and the demon juice powers of his arm. Dante and the 2 chicks form his first adventures go to a small island city that worships his dad, he shoots the pope, Nero fights him to protect his girlfriend, then he goes off to look for Dante because his Boss told him to. He learns some stuff about the cult, then big thing happens and Nero is out of commission. Dante then gets to play all the levels in reverse order, gets a cool suitcase that I desperately want for myself and then he gets Nero back into commission and happy ending. DMC 5 has our 3 heroes fighting a big ugly demonic tree after Nero got his arm ripped off. He then gets called dead weight by Dante and we have a time skip, because Dante and his 2 female besties kinda got folded, then big fight happens, a big plot twist that was obvious gets revealed, Nero gets a bit bamboozled but solves the situation by being stubborn and bitch slapping Dante and Vergil and then the ending happens and Patty is mad that Dante was not at her birthday party. Big important disclaimer that every member of the Sparda family gets their power ups and Devil Triggers by being stabbed in the gut. You are not part of the family if you didn't get your Devil Trigger by getting stabbed at some point. Also some thing that is mostly brought up in the anime, but Dante is very broke and owes a lot of peole money. He also keeps racking up debt by doing stuff like destroying half the Autobahn while fighting a demon. Anyway, I hope you do play DM at one point. I was very vague with all the stuff I told you so go play the game or watch a lets play if your fingers don't feel up for the challenge. Mine sure aren't.
Wow that's a lot of lore! Thanks for the detailed explanation. Seems like a series I would have fun with xD especially with how silly Dante seems like he can be. So Vergil and Dante are twins eh? Cool.
@@Cyrus_Bright Identical twins even. Thex have the exact same face and hair. The only reason they don't look that similar in DMC 5 anymore is the fact that they are old now. I think Dante is almost 50 in DMC 5. Nero is only 25 in that game, so he still has some time to shine. And yeah, a huge chunk of DMC 5 is Nero being salty about being called deadweight. He did lose his demon juice powers though. But he gets cool robot arms instead. Play DMC 4 for the character reference to make more sense. And just for your information in regards to DMC 4: Due to Neros unique ability to pull either himself to the enemy or the enemies to him or just grabbing stuff form afar, some of these enemeis are really annoying to fight as Dante. There are these armors with shields and stuff that you have to remove and Dante can't just grab them away. No, he has to get close and personal. But that Suitcase Box is really cool though. Dante has some fun with that thing before you can freely use it. It is the best thing ever. But sadly just not meant for human hands. Oh and in DMC 3 Daddy Spardas ex girlfriend can be picked up as a weapon. Do not ask questions. It makes sense when you see it.
