So my season 2 has ended and it would be interesting to hear your feedback on how you think it went from your viewing experience. If there are any type of content that stood out for you that you liked or disliked, let me know below! Also I am open to suggestions for season 3!
Gave you a thumbs-up but not because I'm happy you got nailed but because you were so nice about sharing about what happened. Good things are worth waiting for so I'm just glad you are coming back when the time is right. BTW, did you know that H-D has an on-line store now? I just ordered a bunch of OEM parts for my '09 Sportster online for the first time. I've complained many times over the past decade that I thought it was so stupid that I had to drive into a dealership (nearest one is an hour away) just to place an order and then drive there again to pick the stuff up. Finally, HD has joined us in the 21st century.
The circle loop from Sooke to Renfrew to Lake Cowichan to Victoria and a bunch of bike reviews if you can get some of these other dealers to give you a bike for an hour.
Bummer bro Thanks for your honesty on the update. I like the videos that show your local county side and the food the best. The analysis of crashes are useful too. Bike reviews are fine but down the list for me
Man that’s too bad. It sucks when you see something everyone else seems to be doing without issue then guidelines change or the luck of the draw gets you. Thanks for sharing the info and what you’re experiencing!
well what is infuriating is that TH-cam was the one that didn't clear guidelines and just kept pushing for us to experiment with it, only to let it bite us in the ass when things became a legal issue for them against other social media companies
Very good info. I’m Sure this is not just on “shorts” Curious on added clips (adding humour by clips) throughout the video. “5 mins later” etc. You think that’s an issue? What links do you use??
I am not 100% certain those are safe in the future. Technically there are copyright ownership to everything (even memes) but currently YT allows it as long as the overall content is original. but who knows?
Thank you for the tip... fortunately for me I post shorts from the videos I upload, though I was considering the idea of sharing other videos I got on my Instagram and TikTok but now I'm gonna rethink that. Thanks
it takes a lot of reading and getting used to but I never thought about updating my existing videos with new rules each year.. there is no grandfather clause 😢
I'm so sorry this happened, man. Honestly, I think alot of the rules youtube makes are not good ideas and they are way too restrictive. Honestly, what I would do if I were you, duplicate your channel to another platform that isn't as restrictive. Keep your youtube channel to keep gaining followers. I feel bad this happened to you man, but I understand. There's another channel I watch and there was a rule made that got the creator in youtube jail for a month as well because it was a super old video that had been posted for a while and when the "new" rule went into effect, he was retroactively demonotized. I still haven't gotten my bike yet. Other expenses came up so I'm still bikeless but my one year anniversary of passing the MSF happened two weeks ago. Still have my heart set though on getting a used 48 when I do get one. Keep your chin up. You didn't do anything wrong. TH-cam shouldn't be this restrictive.
all good man - yeah it sucks how these new policies affect older videos and are not "grand fathered". I am just lucky my life don't depend on this income like some big youtubers have. I'm sorry to hear that you are still bikeless but it sounds like you are prioritizing your life correctly. Bikes are fo pleasure and fun - you should only get into it when you can afford to sustain it. But hopefully it will work out soon or you will have to take the MSF again!
That sucks. I was gonna ask if using the same media on multiple platforms you created is okay. That’s an important thing to know. What about copy right claimed music? TH-cam allows be to have the vids up and says it won’t monetize them but does that mean I can’t monetize my channel or just those videos won’t yield any profits?
I was able to monetize (twice) with a video that was flagged for copyright music but who knows, YT can turn that switch any year without you knowing. And then you are in YT jail for another 30days lol
Wow that sucks buddy !! I wish they would give us yellow card first before the red one. Thanks for sharing it ! I never got into the shorts nor using other peoples’ videos but I am seeing a lot of people doing it. I hope you get out of the jail soon. Cheers amigo
The more shorts a channel makes, the more likely that I will unsubscribe to the channel. If I wanted to watch tik tok videos, I would be watching tik tok instead of TH-cam.
So in summing up, youtube moved the goalposts with out telling anyone. Then when you missed the goal they wouldn't tell you where the goalposts had been moved to! Genius. Leave out the shorts maybe but put a line to instagram, for instance, to where they can find them. Overall I'm not fussed about shorts as I've normally seen the main video. Also not bothered about tik tok.
Good to Know, KS. So it's pretty much .... Don't get lazy and start crossing media from one site to YT, as there may be copyright issues attached to the publication even if you are the "Owner" of the content ???....etc ?? ....
hey don't worry on it like you said take a break just be safe out there give some time on motorcycles like will ferrell says in his movie land of the lost a funny movie its just a minor set back ,,, I feel like it's a time to relax from the little crash you had
well, that sucks - you lose a million views (which is super cool by the way). I know that other platforms are getting nit picky about "original content", so, I have been looking at different ways of re-using content as well.
ah losing the mil views dont bother me because I didn't rightfully earned them from shorts - it was how YT just tossed my channel out as soon as less than 1% of my content violated their new policy. I think safest is just keep it all original

Thanks Bill. Is this online site canadian?? I have seen the US one but I wasn't aware of a cdn one.
Dude that really sucks!! Hopefully no more issues in the future.
me too lol
Dam little details eh?
Great second season tho and I’m looking forward to season 3 👍🏻
Yeah these little details clearly matter, even for older videos when new policies kick in 🥺
Bummer, the strange rules of the internet, I'll be waiting for season 3 keep up the good work.
thanks man - if you have specific things you want to see more of or something new, I will be here!

Sorry to hear this update from you.
all good - lesson learned
Sorry to hear about channel, hope to see you soon in 30-days or whatever, Glad you are back in the saddle on the 883!
all good in the hood! I needed this break anyways.. cheers!

@@KSMotoCafe agreed. Stay positive man. You’re channel is awesome!!!
Thank you for the tip... fortunately for me I post shorts from the videos I upload, though I was considering the idea of sharing other videos I got on my Instagram and TikTok but now I'm gonna rethink that.
Thanks
yeah I think it has to do with legal copyright issues between platforms. Once it is uploaded on YT the video now belongs to YT and not you.
I was going to google ads my channel a year or so ago but gave up cuz there are too many silly rules on TH-cam- your channels great. 👊🏻💯
it takes a lot of reading and getting used to but I never thought about updating my existing videos with new rules each year.. there is no grandfather clause 😢

A lesson in bureaucracy, and TH-cam doesn’t really care about you. Hopefully things work out for you sooner rather than later. 👍🇨🇦🤪
It’s a blessing and a curse… Take your break recharge and when you come back 110% …
for sure!
Wow that sucks buddy !! I wish they would give us yellow card first before the red one. Thanks for sharing it ! I never got into the shorts nor using other peoples’ videos but I am seeing a lot of people doing it. I hope you get out of the jail soon. Cheers amigo
haha yeah it was a dumb mistake on my end but never again 😩
No worries, live an learn and your loyal viewers will be here when you get up and rolling again. YT is quite the journey...
thanks Eric
Hang in there! Thanks for sharing though.
thanks!

yeah I hated em - the tempo of these short videos are too fast and just comes off annoying
I love your content. Hope you get remonetized soon.
thanks man
super shitty, dude. hopefully you're able to get everything back on track.
thanks man

well YT did tell people via emails but they also send out a lot of emails that I was too ignorant to read the changes to new policies.
@@KSMotoCafe That's a very honest answer.
