It's a rough biz to be honest...fun but a bit brutal, as any highly competitive commercial art happens to be. I met many wonderful people, but the biz in general is really rough here in the US.
I have hotkeys set up for each view- in the aliases- t= top f= front r= right b= back bb= bottom p= _perspective cplane world top simple stuff in the alias settings, except for the perspective command- this one I add some stuff to the script so that the world top cplane is invoked every time I run the perspective alias.
Ha! So no wonder why I wasn't finding those. Thanks, I really appreciate it. By "invoking the cPlane" for persp. View. That's to always get the same orientation up right?
@@andremichaud8080 correct- if you happen to change the cplane, that forces it back to world top when you run the command. if you don't want that, simply delete that part of the script.
Thank you! I made it work. Now, I didn't try this yet, just spit-balling here. Is this something I could map onto the numbers on the Numpad? Like it is in Blender?@@Rhinoceros3d
I just downloaded the trial to try and follow along, I can't select the surface planes of the key object, I don't have the grid on the extruded object like yours shows in the video, is that an option in the menus?
you may need to try the auto cplane option at the bottom of the window. selecting the sub object objects of a polysurface is done by holding down shift and ctrl on a pc, or shift and command on a mac.
the cut only appears in instances where it can be used. for instance it does not work on open surfaces as it's a solid boolean operation. try it on a cube... does it show up? @@familypaez4051
I want to be a toy designer like you! What a nice coincidence :) Thanks for your contribution to the community. Cheers!

dude! I Love your videos. I was hoping you'd tell us how you switch between views on the fly? Sorry for the newb question here :S

@@andremichaud8080 yes, but it has to be followed by a right click on a mouse, a space bar, or an enter. Rhino does not have single stroke hotkeys.
How do you define which commands deserve "boop"?
And yes, another great tutorial. Thank you!
one does not deserve "boop" one must simply clear their mind and feeeel the "boop"
Then and only then, will the "boop" reveal itself....

Mr. Kyle, why doesn't the little cut icon appear on my Gumball? thank you
have to be using version 8 for that-
I’ve using Rhino 8 Educational

As always very interesting !
thanks! ignore my debacle on the knees... good lord...what was I thinking?! Live demos are always a fun challenge..
@@Rhinoceros3d Good for him: he surely could run backwards very fast 🤪
