Is there a reason why Rhino for Mac looks and works a bit differently? Is it possible to change command menu to not be transparent? It's a bit distracting to see stuff behind the menu..
ctrl+shift on a pc, command+shift on a mac this will allow you to subobject select a face inside of a polysurface make sure it's not a block or a lightweight extrusion.
