I love the music, and I am totally impressed at how there isn't a single person showing in this normally very busy tourist attraction. The music you've selected leave me wanting to return to this very special place. Good work!

Thanks a lot for your comment and the video response. How very interesting to see Knossos then and now!
The video was taken on a rainy afternoon in March which explains the lack of people. Glad you like the music. Hope you can return some day. Best wishes!

knossos built around 2,000 bc was destroyed twice between 2,000 bc and 1,400 bc. Once due to earthquake, 2nd due to volcano. Then was found in the late 1800s and rebuilt in the early 1900s. so this site is about 4,000 years old!!! the great pyramids in egypt are also around 4,000 years old but are deffinitly a tid bit older than knossos. amazing though 4,000 years later and yet the remains of civilization are still there.

Have you read John Dempsey's 1996 novel "Ariadne's Brother: A Novel on the Fall of Bronze Age Crete"? Makes Mary Renault's "King Must Die" seem like a harlequin romance
