This is gorgeous, like a wee boat! Definitely got a lot of inspiration for my upcoming caravan renovation project. I have no idea what I’m doing, but these kinda videos really help and give people like me hope. So thanks for sharing and well done!
Excellent redo!! I love the colors, butcherblock, curtains, no fridge but large cooler, very esthetic!! The woodworking is Beautiful. Thanks for the tips!! ✌🇺🇸
Amazing job an old classic with a modern retouch . I especially appreciate the minimalist approach in a day in age where we're overwhelmed with technology options.
Very clever! Thank you for sharing the many ways a person can use the Milwaukee tools. I didn't know. Really great for a 1st time. Now, after camping some in it with your family, you'll be able to see where you want to make any changes. I personally love it the way that it is!
Amazing. I really love how you made these gadget tools Amazing the pull put couch the step water drain the little counter top bed. I really see how you got really technical with it to make it how you would like it and dude this is an amazing rv build. I really love it. I k own how much time this takes and especially thinking of how you want it it takes thought I really love this dude fr amazing job 👏👏
There are various small portable chargers available that come with a solar panel for optional recharging. I have a couple of them for emergencies (I live in FL). They are great and not large devices, easy to store. Before your camping trips, just put a full charge on it by home outlet and then use the solar panel during the day to recharge at the campsite.
I love seeing how everyone has their own way of doing things. You were already invested in those tools and you knew what your family would need and made it work! My little camper came with electricity too, thankfully it can plug into the jackery I already had for tent camping. Since it's such a tiny camper, the jackery runs all of it. I like the idea for the water too! I have a similar system going on.
Great job!! I love the layout you chose and I think choosing to go “off grid” gives you so many more options of where you can camp comfortably. I am the same age as the camper now and my parents have taken us camping my whole life, every kind of camping you can imagine. The best part of it was being together with the whole family! I didn’t care much for sleeping in tents but I would have (and do) love this comfortable, beautiful place to camp!!
I love it! And I’m with you on battery power. The storage was what I was concerned with and your idea of adding it under the furniture is excellent idea
I love your son's bed/couch!! I just bought a 64-66? Shasta Compact for myself and my pups, so I love that idea!! I don't have the $ nor skills to gut and remodel but I intend on doing a minimal redo for now. Love that idea!!
I like how honest you are. And I have a feeling you are a bit of a perfectionist. Also I’m from Minnesota and it sounds like you might be too… or at least a state that touches Minnesota.😊
Was there originally a closet in the middle that ran from floor to ceiling? If so, it was providing structural strength to the trailer. Please, folks, whenever you renovate this old campers, replace the floor to ceiling structural supports in the center of the unit. That's what keeps the thing standing when you are going down the road at 60mph or driving over bumpy roads.
Really nice job, wondering about the washroom & shower... that you did not talk about ??? I would also like to know the length of your trailer. Thanks for the good video.
A few years ago I was going to buy a moldy fixer but ended up regretfully passing. I love projects and I think I could have done it a modern justice. Simple and basic is my style. Mold is so bad though. As is (or was) the rust. I wouldn't had to move it but would have wanted to make it road worthy. Maybe in the future I will get another chance. Nice job! Have you moved it? Curious how rigid spayfoam would be?!
Beautiful work. I am having trouble with the ceiling and wall panel. How do you secure them without they popping out? What do you use for the ceiling? Thanks for sharing.
We bought a 1969 low liner about two days ago and of course when we bought it we seen that the left side was sagging by 4 inches. Found out the the wheel well was detached on the back side on the left side. How can I get that wall raised up without it completely giving out on me. Just need a quick fix in order to get to are location.
I love your ideas and everything you did. New subscriber here for sure. Do you have any videos that give a little more detail about the pull out bed you made? My current camper that I'm re-doing has something similar, but it's so wobbly I'm looking to redo it. Yours looks really sturdy.
It looks so good and I do have a question? So I just bought a Shasta to redo and I'm wondering if any of the walls load barring? I really hate the closet that is next to my sink and the top to bottom closet that is right across from it and it seems like they where put in by previous ppls attempt of a redo but I'm not completely sure. Do you think it would be okay to take those out or should I at least leave a wall even if I take out the cabinet and closet area. It is right over the wheel area.
If this was my first trailer, I probably would have done the same thing you did. Learning how to properly rebuild and renovate one of these now I realize how dangerous it is to "gut" the trailer since its built totally different than a house and how important it is for the cabinets to keep the structural integrity so the trailer won't fall apart on the road. To properly rebuild means to remove the outer skin and pay attention to how its built. Sorry to be a downer but if this unit is on the road it's a danger.
Yes I have been trying to figure out what all I need for my 21-ft high and low camper 1996 and I'm living in it now but it's the only place I have to live and I don't even know what I'm doing the first step to doing it if I could get someone to help me figure this out I would love it I do need some serious help with it thank you
where did you purchase your pump sink set up? I will be living 6 months off grid in a trailer and looking at doing something like this. Thanks love the trailer and what you did.
Thanks a lot! I will check it out. The only thing I would have done different was to not rush it so much. We bought the camper in early June and I did all that before the 4th of july. So a few things are rushed.
You didn't give us an actual tour? I struggled to visualise the finished entire project. I wanted to see it all in one shot, not short clips between watching you sitting in a seat... Sorry. Looks good from what I did see, though.

Best travel trailer conversion I've seen here on youtube! Great job!
Thanks a lot! I appreciate that!
Amazing job an old classic with a modern retouch . I especially appreciate the minimalist approach in a day in age where we're overwhelmed with technology options.
Good video. Wife and I just bought a REELFOOT 12’ camper. It was water rotted out! Starting a love journey to fix it up.
Awesome!! Best of luck to you!
Really glad to see your use of batteries instead of solar and electrical. Helped me make my mind up on my own project. THANKS
It works out really good!

Thanks so much! That milwaukee tools work great for it! Also a saw zall works great for cutting up dead wood for. Amp fires

Exactly! It's about the time spent out doing it! And I can deal to be without power for a couple days. It's actually nice! Thanks a lot Tammy!
Can you do a video explaining how to purchase/set up a pump sink?! It’s amazing, but I’m no plumber and just bought a 1956 Comet.
You did a wonderful job, I love to have this beautiful 💗❣️ R.V. Thanks for sharing..
Thanks so much for your comment!
Good job on the camper.
I love it! And I’m with you on battery power. The storage was what I was concerned with and your idea of adding it under the furniture is excellent idea

About to redo mine. The futon slide out is brilliant thanks for sharing
It is so useful!! You should definitely implement it into your redo!
@@BradyHommel contemplating putting in a composting toilet in mine. Do you miss one in yours or no?

Great video. Love it.simple. That’s what camping should be like. Most activities are outside anyway. No need for electricity.
Exactly! No need to complicate things Thanks a lot!
I love your camper remodel and especially like that it's off power and yet it looks so Chic modern wonderful 😊

Really nice job, wondering about the washroom & shower... that you did not talk about ??? I would also like to know the length of your trailer. Thanks for the good video.
Thanks! I didn't talk about it because there is none. I use the woods. The trailer is 16ft.
Awesome job Brady. Very talented!

I love it! Great job! Can you add the link to get the sink water step pump set up system. I’m wanting to add that to my camper. Thanks!
Hi Sandy, sorry I'm just getting to this but if your still in need I have added a link in the description :)
Beautiful work. I am having trouble with the ceiling and wall panel. How do you secure them without they popping out? What do you use for the ceiling? Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! I used Loctite instant grab adhesive then I used a pneumatic staple gun to secure them.
Great job.
Thank you!
Very good job and cute guy😍
Well thank you!
It's lovely
Thank you! :)
Looks great 👍🏼👍🏼

What type of faucet/foot pump did you end up using?
where did you purchase your pump sink set up? I will be living 6 months off grid in a trailer and looking at doing something like this. Thanks love the trailer and what you did.
Thanks a lot! I believe I ordered that from Ebay
I would have cut the outside for exterior storage. JoAnn and Fabrics...cute. lol. I would have put in a wet bath.
It’s actually just ‘JoAnn Fabrics’.
Awesome‼️
Thanks!
Super simple. Love it. What is the interior height on the camper? I’m having a hard time finding one with some head room.
I'm not sure exactly... currently the camper is in storage but I am about 5' 11" and I have plenty of head room
It seems electric would be important for resale? You did a nice job on this trailer.
It definetly would help out for resale. Absolutely your right but I still opted against it lol... thank you!
The wall covering is called bead board.
Thank you!
What paint color is that on the outside
Its the bird chirping for me.
Haha, I didn't realize how loud that thing was.
no toilet or bathing shortcut?
Awesome job. Where are you guys from? I’m from Milwaukee Wisconsin
Thanks a lot! We are from upstate NY
Ooh what’s the size of the camper? This is awesome!
Thanks a lot! It's 16 ft. I believe
What did you use on the ceiling
It is 1/4" plywood and I stained it
Great content! We just started our RV remodeling project with the help of your videos! #newSubscriber
Thats great to hear! I am redoing my pick up truck bed as of right now as well. Best of luck on your remodel!
Where are your wheelwells?
They are under where I have the cooler and under the pull out couch on the other side
Nice camper! Do you have a bathroom?
Thanks a lot! Yes the woods... 😂
Ok😂😂😂😂
How much did you spend on the insulation?
I think the kit was like around $400 or so
WOW
Thanks a lot ! 😊
Good day Brady, I am interested in you restoring a vintage camper for me. Do you offer these services? If so, how can I contact you?

Great job kiddo. Looks great! Loved the wooden panels you used. Q: what would you do differently?
BTW check out my project...

Thanks a lot! I will check it out. The only thing I would have done different was to not rush it so much. We bought the camper in early June and I did all that before the 4th of july. So a few things are rushed.
beautiful but no Bathroom or toilet?
Freeze water in 1/2 gallon milk jug, it'll last 5 days easy and no soggy food
Great tip! thanks for sharing i will definetly keep that in mind
Maybe take your sunglasses off for the next video?!!!
If its not sunny out maybe I will. Lol 😎
Wouldn't a solar system be easier though
I dont know Those battery operated things are pretty easy haha. But yes, Solar would definetly be more convenient in the long run probably.
I would much rather have a frig! Adding ice, draining, etc. No thanks!
Nice! Im good with my cooler.
Not bad but a little too simple and cheap for me. Its such a small space it shouldn't cost much to surge on it.
Good day Brady! I sent you an email. Check at your earliest convenience
You didn't give us an actual tour? I struggled to visualise the finished entire project. I wanted to see it all in one shot, not short clips between watching you sitting in a seat... Sorry. Looks good from what I did see, though.
Yes going back I would have definetly filmed this different than I did and will keep that in mind for future videos. Thank you for your feedback!
You do have such a nice face. It’s really a pity not to see your eyes 👀
You should have left it to someone who knew what they are doing. Another vintage camper ruined.
Thanks for the kind encouraging comment. Lol
