- White Rhinos. As you can see, they weren't being threatening in any way, they just wanted space to pass on the road.
I know that photos can have an inbuilt GPS coordinate that can lead to the subject animals being poached, but I haven't heard that this is the case with videos. If it is, please comment and I'll remove the video.

It’s a real shame they’re critically endangered, absolutely amazing animal.
they're not criticallly endangered, they'r enear threatened which is a better situation all around because their population is the highest of all rhinoceros species which is between 17k - 19k roughly spekaing.
on the other hand you have the indonesian sub species who really are critically endangered, these are the javan and sumatran subspecies and their populations stand at 72 and 80, respectively
nobody's really batting an eye over them though because they're not as popular
humans really are hypocritical cancer
That's the northern subspecies, there's only two of those left. But the southern one, these guys here, are near threatened, with numbers exceeding 19,000 to 21,000 individuals.
I thought the last white rhino 🦏 has died a couple of years ago
@@ZR1Terror The last male died a couple years ago. There are two females currently. They have sperm from two males and eggs from the two remaining females and plan to implant fetuses into some surrogate rhinos of a different species. The female white whito rhinos have too many medical conditions to be able to carry a pregnancy and risk taking the fetus with them if something happens to them. The pandemic is complicating things because it's an international effort. They harvested ten eggs and ended up with seven fetuses. They have not implanted them yet.
Yeah, like their horns don't even have any actual medical ability's.
Never knew their horns can grow that long. Its the longest i have ever seen..sad tho cause that rhino will be a target for poachers.
And if the poacher's not careful he'll be the target of some game wardens -- or lions, and that would be better.

I have learned that "white" actually is a misspelling of "wide". Because the spiecies have a wider mouth/nose than other rhinos. Then the black rhino was called black because it was darker than the wide-snouted.

That's how they get information about other rhinos! Midden heaps basically act as message boards for rhinos, and using it a rhino can tell which male they're in the territory of, which females are around, which females are ready to mate and what juvenile males are around. The latter is important because while bulls will tolerate young males, once they smell that they've reached mating age the bull will seek them out and chase them out of their territory.
