After googling looking into this have always done slimmingworld when I was sticking to it now I havnt been on a plan but started being more active and actually enjoying it now but diet side I thought right time to get back in a plan because notice my bad habits starting up again. Anyways I’m happy I found you and and now thing about doing weight watchers for the first time.

I started WW in Jan of 2018, stayed on plan until about May as I had lost nearly 2stone which was what I had wanted, then fell pregnant and piled it all back on again 🙄🤫 im such a YO YO dieter.. And that's why I decided on WW this time. SW doesn't teach portion control and they stuff everything with sweeteners. WW teach you portion sizes, good eating habits and you can also eat real food and anything you want.
Ironically in 2015 I lost 6st i stayed to free food but avoided carbs inadvertently ended up on sp for a year when I looked at the diaries I kept like you I didn't have anything not even in France where I let 10lbs on holiday I got to to Xmas like you stayed to plan didn't lose 7lbs to target and no support while I struggled to lose 5lbs like you losing weight felt good to go out but couldn't choice anything and I agree about the portions and tomatoes I am just waiting for my 'bread'moment
First of all you look wonderful!! I am admiring your journey with SW vs WW and sharing. Because there is nothing here in USA i'll go ahead and try WW. Would love to join and try SW but there is nothing in USA :( I did find a test site in Dallas, TX but now all link are disconnected. My friend in Scotland is doing fabulous with her SW journey so she sent books for me. Recalculating or converting temps and measurements takes too long and than I'm hangry by than. I wish we had this lifestyle plan here in the US but it sounds WW is very similar?
They are very different. Slimming world you can have as much pasta, potatoes, meat eggs as you want and they you are allocated some syns for everything else. WW has a much smaller range of zero pointed foods and you point everything else. The closest WW plan to slimming world is the purple plan but you still don't get the range of free foods you do on slimming world.
Thats why they brought the three plans in. An awful lot of people left when they got rid of smart points, which is now the green plan. And then they lost a load more when they got rid of no count. I hated freestyle which is the blue plan. I only stuck with it because i had no choice. Switched to no count and just kept going that even when they got rid of it. So glad green is back.
Yeah totally, I loved the Pro Points plan back in 2011 but when I went back a few years later it seemed to be just like slimming world. Im liking the look of the green plan as it seems you can eat a variety.
I do wish they'd stop changing the plan every five minutes, it's ridiculous. I can't stick to it now . No in-person groups now , no wellness wins and no 24 hour support. It's rubbish now , I'm sticking to nutracheck cause what it costs ww a month, you get for a year . Don't start me on slimming world 😂
This is inspirational Sarah - particularly because you were doing SW completely on your own, sans support. You said in the video that you struggled more on maintenance than weight loss, but didn't expand on this (as is your right!). Would you care explain a little why it's harder? Hello, You should be incredibly proud of your journey! You have done amazing! Im new to WW and have just completed the questionnaire and its said im more suitable to the blue plan... have you ever tried the blue plan and whats the difference between green and blue?
The difference between the plans are what foods are zero pointed. Have a look at all three and you will see that each plan has different zero foods. It really does depend on your lifestyle and also what foods you like to eat. I have done blue and its not really for me. Good luck and let me know which plan you choose.

I see you have the ww weighing scales, I'm back on green, I went to weigh corn on cob, it come up as 2sp,but on app it say 3sp now my scales are from the green plan when it was out just before flex, I take it corn on the cob has gone up in sp, like chicken is 2sp on scales and app and so are other things, and really nothing is different this time round from the last time it was out apart from you can rollover points
I don't use the WW scales, i don't find them very accurate. I weight some chorizo and got 3 different weights. I use some I got from amazon. I just pop it in the app to calculate. It defiantly is the old smart points with rollovers.
I’ve been following you on Instagram for a while now and watch you on here and after a lot of thought I’ve changed over to ww, I’m not in any way slating slimming world but I’m struggling big time with it. The “free” food allowance is putting weight on me again with this cold weather I’m eating a lot more carbs specially potatoes and pasta and I can eat a lot of them just because it’s “free”. So I thought I’d give ww a go and see if it gets me back on track. We all need a change now and again 😁 the soup I had for lunch would be syn free on sw but after tracking it with ww it’s 8sp but that’s for the pot I made 😃. They’ve recommend me to try the blue plan so here goes. 😀 x
Excess skin won’t kill you from a heart attack or stroke or loose a limb from diabetes......being over weight will. I’ve had two heart attacks before I reached 45yrs. I’ve lost 5 stone or 70lb and will happily live with a bit of loose skin if it lengthens my life expectancy.
Did you or do you exercise? I don't want to sound rude as I wounder about loose skin (I'm on off with weight loss) an my arms currently are thw worse well ok if I dont wave lol ...but well done to you for your journey 👏 👍 xx
I have loads of excess skin. I have a video on it and I've posted pictures on instagram. No amount of exercise would get rid of my excess skin. I joined the gym when i got to goal and swam daily before lockdown. Now I do daily yoga.

I lost 7 pounds, just over 3 kilos in my first week on ww. I don't expect that to continue though. I love food but I also love exercise.

I have small portions of what I want. I always use all my daily and weekly points and eat what I crave but just make sure I stick to my points.

One thing I hate about WW is how often they change the plan. You find something that works and then they change it. It's so frustrating

Thank you, it's harder because you have nothing to aim for. When losing you have a goal, you don't have that while maintaining
