May be a dumb question but.. does the bottom brace under the car need to come off to be able to lift the engine? I didn’t see a reason to need to take that piece off
@@DEEuroworksI’ll look again tomorrow and watch the video again but I’m not seeing the clearance. One side is close but the other side there’s no space to remove the mount
Hi, great video! I just wanted to confirm that you take off the triple square bolt from the engine mount BEFORE supporting the engine with the jack? So you would remove the triple square engine mount bolt, then jack up the engine, then remove the 16mm side mount bolts?
@@SoyPing Hello, I can’t recall off of my head but I believe you have to lift the engine up to be able to remove those either way so yes you would support it first. 16mm bolts you can remove first.
@@DEEuroworks Nice, thanks! I think I'll just support the engine before taking off any bolts just to be safe. Thanks for the response and keep being awesome!
Good work. Looks luke 4 hours labour.
Hi firstly great video , I was curious would it be the same for a RHD tdi.
@@xxtxx96 Thank you, I don’t know, but I don’t see why it would be much different.
I have an Audi 2018 a7 with 30,340mi so I’m
guessing my mounts should be still fine ? Tks ! Great video 👌🏻
@@janbochnig3198 by 30k they should be ok still, hard to tell without seeing in person. Thanks for watching.

@@zakk6435 actually it doesn’t need to come off, I did one after this video and didn’t need to remove it.
@@DEEuroworksunfortunately on my 2012 c7 a6 this method does not work. There is other stuff in the way keeping the mounts from coming out
@ should be the same, I just did an A6. It is not easy to get it out but it comes out.

Forgot to mention mine is an American car too. But thanks for the replies 👍🏼

Did you remove the oil cooler ? Or how did you drop the subframe in order
@@DannyDiligent You would have to watch the video to get both answers.
Is the process similar for Q5 with the 3.0 (2013)?
@@vigneshie should be similar.
