I think I've heard it once in the last 20 years so I'll have to refresh my memory but I'll definitely check it out. Do you remember which part of the show? And I'm assuming you mean the title theme from KotOR?
@@mrvoltar it’s at the start where it says 16 years earlier, specifically at 1:24. It’s very short and subtle so it might just be a coincidence. And yes, the title theme.
Definitely. I'd even say both things are probably true. The libertarian free will stuff he was saying sounds like either group but it also sounds like every rebellion group in any era of Star Wars. 😉
Qimir could be the founder of the Knights of Ren. He claimed that Jedi would call him a Sith, but he wants to form his own dark side cult by training Mae and other people
I think it’s entirely possible that plagueis and qimir are each founders of their own factions. Obviously plagueis is not the first Sith Lord, but quimir could easily be a precursor to the knights of ren. Ben solo seemed to be more of an emotional driven dark side user. Most Sith are just straight up ruthless.
I think if I were her I might put a couple weird things in just in case the second season doesn't happen so I could say, "I guess we'll never know," if someone asked.
Yeah, the first 3 notes are the same pitches in both. it harmonized differently and does different stuff after that but it's enough to stand out for sure.
I am still waiting for the promised revelation of the reason why they showed us the Kylo Ren theme. I knew Qimir was a user of the dark side of the force, when I saw his mask and his red lightsaber, so? Anything else?
Reylo is not a „creepy weird romance thing“. But shipping Osha and Qimir is. Should that be the „connection“, it is a misuse of the theme, in my opinion.
Theory: he says "I am what you Jedi might call me....sith.." because he isn't actually a sith, because if he was a sith he would 100% know he's a sith and not openly admit it to the Jedi. he's just a dark side user only, perhaps the first Ren. But the reality is probably that the writers dont give a shit about established star wars lore and they pretend that this guy is supposed to be one of many from the ascension of the most powerful sith lords
lol, I've heard speculation that in the last episode the, "actual," sith show up and curb-stomp Qimir. If he weren't though that would really ruin the last 2 episode for me. I could see how using all the Zannah stuff from book 3 in legends on a character that exists this close to the movies is hard to reconcile but I think a lot of the legends stuff is better to hold onto in the language part of the brain and not the history part of the brain.
Recognizing melodies is weirdly hard to explain since, "higher," and, "lower," are the abstract terms used to describe what are actually faster and slower vibrations. The only thing I could recommend is to single out something that sounds peculiar or unique about the familiar and listen for it in the new. In this case it should be pretty easy since it's the exact same relative pitch content at almost the exact same pace but played in a different key. A lot of times composers will play melodies backwards or upside down or stretched out which can make it really hard even for professional musicians to hear.

Everyone is talking about Kylos theme appearing, but nobody’s talking about the Kotor theme appearing in in ep 3.

True but come on, it's hard to when everyone wants to forget episode 3 😂
@@Ethan_Chappell I'd say it's close but not close enough to say for sure. Some people kind of hear the force theme there as well.
I thought I was just thinking about it too much. But I’m glad I m not the only one who noticed
This could mean Qimir is not a Sith but a Knight of Ren or the master of the knights of Ren during the era of the (late) High Republic.
Definitely. I'd even say both things are probably true. The libertarian free will stuff he was saying sounds like either group but it also sounds like every rebellion group in any era of Star Wars. 😉
He could still be a Sith and then eventually form the Knights of Ren.
@@gbozzi05_ Kinda seems the most likely answer.
I completely missed that in my viewing. Cool.
Thanks for saying!
Qimir could be the founder of the Knights of Ren. He claimed that Jedi would call him a Sith, but he wants to form his own dark side cult by training Mae and other people
I kinda feel like both things might be true in his case but we'll see hopefully.
It was also in the end credits of episode 6 of this series!
So glad I'm not the only one that noticed?

I really want an OST of this version of Kylo’s theme in the show
If the youtube channel DisneyMusicVEVO is legit, they may have that after tonight. It looks like the 1st half of the soundtrack is already out.
Means the Strangers name is REN
this note progression is nearly identical to the korriban theme from kotor 1

Knights of Ren
underated

It seems most likely to me that it's either about his reaction to Luke or the creepy weird romance thing.

maybe his name is ren ?
Well, we never heard Qimirs last name...
lol, I know what you're implying but for a minute I thought, "Little Girl," would be funnier and creepier.
It seems he was about to heal her, but decided not to - was he afraid it would drain his life force (like Kylo’s) 🤔
Dunno, sith healing seems fishy to me but I guess we'll see.
So he's Smylo Ren?
It's confirmed then.
