Rough start it seems. River ive been fishing in Norway has had a record low amount of fish this year as well, managed to snag 2 grills and a small salmon late june, but 3 fish in 14 days is not ideal. Mid season evaluation coming up, and i have a feeling theres either gonna be more restrictions or just a straight closed river for the rest of the season, we'll see. Good luck lad ;)

Do you check the water levels online before going? I use the riverapp for reference
Yes, but always a slight delay. Plus sometimes you know it’s not going to be very good, but still try!

Fair play giving it a go in those conditions early on! Did you find out about the Salmon running hard with Shad in the river?
Apparently they just run hard because the shad do! Follow the leader!
