Salmon fishing - River Tweed June 2022

A week on the River Tweed June 2022 during very low water conditions. Despite awful conditions will still managed a few fish by reverting to fine presentation using our single hand trout rods.

Laboured long and hard downstream at Carham..a beat at the actual Border..England on one bank..Scotland on other...in low water ..wade across...then retire to Kelso square for a beer or three....mind ypu that was April!!

Hi guys , that 12ft 6 ultralight rod…5/6 is that a travel rod??? Then you fired a 7 weight line on yeah? Was thinking of doing the same set up

Yes from memory - it was a rod the Gillie lend me, very good set up though
