Homeschooling is a marathon! It is surreal to me that I’ve completed it. We’ve graduated three kids and our youngest is in high school now. Your fourth point about personal goals is one of the things I share ALL the time. We have to have separate time away from our kids and honour our selves outside our homeschool mom roles. The one thing I miss the most is sit in the great room with all the kids and a mug of something hot, a Readaloud and lit-fireplace amazing! As time went by, I always made sure to lighten up Fridays and do a fun Friday.
Yeah! A new video! I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate your channel. This is my second year of homeschooling, and I need all the guidance, tips & inspiration I can get! (I’m a former public school teacher, and the general population seems to think that homeschool would be second nature to me, but I find there’s lots of aspects to education that I’m unlearning.) Anyway, you have become a mentor for me and I just wanted to let you know. Thanks!
Thank you so much for your kind words! You made my week. 😊 I had a rough summer with all sorts of stuff but I’m back and committed to make more HS videos to help you moms out. What are some videos you’d like to see? Blessings to you! 🌼
Could you show us how you plan unit studies? How do you manage teaching multiple ages? How does your HS co-op function? What classes do your kids take there? Do you keep transcripts for high school? How do you navigate the college application process? (Mine are several years away from that, but it’s good to have goals!)
