An easy way to do this is also with a toothbrush. Lightly paint the bristles and run your finger across them to splatter the paint on the acetate. I do this when I paint star murals.
Briar Fox This works with thin paint but not so well with thick paint like this. Also the paint has to go on pretty thick for it to hold any decent amount of light.
Briar Fox That sounds much easier.
I think that this tutorial is a lot more easier and helpful in the way that other vids require you to awkwardly paint the inside of the jar and probably smear something, while this only needs you to dot a sheet of acetate, roll it up, and put it inside the jar. Thank you so much!
This is a great tutorial and beautiful effect especially at an outdoor party in the evening or something. Can't wait to try!
I'm gonna make these and hang them in the woods around my town
Kool ^-^
***** Haven't done it so far
good idea!
+Ynse Schaap im gonna get one from your town thankyou haha
sounds like people are gonna see some really kawaii jars!
This girl knows her stuff. Tips;
Natural glow paint is what you want. Luminescent requires a black light. Acetate sheets can be found at hobby lobby (duralar(off brand acetate substitute that worked just as good for me))
Thank you! I can't wait to share this with my little girl. She is going to love this project and will make wonderful birthday presents that she herself can make for her friends.
Love it! I'm absolutely doing that to decorate my room! :) Your channel is so inspirational!
Thank you for this easy and safer craft to do. Breaking glow sticks is just crazy and they don't last too long so its just a waste of money. This is the BEST GLOW jar video I have seen. Again thank you .
I love everything you do :) your glow jars are beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing everything with us.
Great idea doing it on the acetate. Looked very good!
*I Love your Glow Jar* It looks so much better than mine and I love that you used the candy jar ^,^
I love this, can't wait to try it. Thank you!

this is a very good idea! thank you Louise
Just made these with some mason jars to hold some bouquet centerpieces for my 4th of July party!!! Thanks again!
This is a fantastic video. Thank you for making it clear that glow sticks are not a safe/suitable product for a project like this and that you will need more than one coat of paint to get a good glow. Using acetate is a *genius* idea!
Such a cute idea!
all of your creativities are awesome.. I'll try it at my home
I'm going to make like a billion of these! Such a great idea!

so neat!! Will be making these with my grandchildren. Was very economic too.
Nice tutorial! Thank you for sharing!
Love it !
Cute idea! When I was little I wanted my room painted with glow-in-the-dark paint. That way when I had to go to bed I could still see. Needless to say, I didn't get it. But I love glow-in-the-dark things. Thank you.
omg I love your idea
This is soooo adorable! :)
Love your idea~ I think the dotting would be a great stress reliever! =)

Looks so nice
Thinking of doing this for party favors for my sweet 16 since it's a glow themed party :)
Thank you! My daughter and I will be making these.
this is so much easier than the other. thanks a lot lot!
it looks great
So cool!
Wow, such a simple, but awesome, technique. Thank you!
Love you
hi i loved it its very attractive iam surely goint to make one to decorate my beautiful room
My favorite part is being able to take the decorative film out. Being able to clean the glass over time is a huge plus. The last one I looked at painted inside jars. While that's not a bad idea, it does limit what can be done with it over time. And I truly thank you for not adding music that made the instructions harder to hear. That was the other problem I encountered on the first video TH-cam suggested.
so cool, I love your videos. Really want to do this for my room. Do you just do the second layer of big dots on top of the smaller dots? or...
Wow.Cool!
Loved it
Amazing ! I'm trying this for my school project c:
I live your nails it's a pretty purple great video can you make more?💜💅
Love
Your video was the easiest and best tutorial i found yet . The others are too difficult . Thanks ! ^.*
Loved the diy!! I have a question if i were to fill the jar with water for a multi use as a vase would it not glow as much or would it not work? because i wanted to use them as vases with flowers for centerpieces outdoors.
Love your nails!
Great job!
saw another video that uses a paint brush to place the dots on the inside of the glass jar, but I like this version because if you want to use the jar at some other point for something else you can. Love it. thanks
That is so cool maybe one day I'll try that
This is awesome
Great job at making videos keep it up I love the videos
dats cool! i could use that to make a gift for my friend! she likes glowing things. =)
I am kinda inspired to do something similar so I want to get a mason jar and get glow in the dark paint and put it all over the bottom and turn it upside down so it will drip down and dry like that so when you flip it back over it looks like a dripping effect tell me if that sounds dumb
love it:-D
Nice job mate!
very cool...I like the idea of using acetate so that way you can wash the jar if it becomes dirty. I wonder if you use a pale colored glass jar if the glow paint will show. I am going to try it that way during the day the glass is pretty to look at and at night the glow will illuminate the color of the glass.
I am going to make prayer jars for my students... Thank you for sharing!
Thanks, your video was really helpful!
I love your accent and the jar was really cool.
COOOOOL! I think I'm going to do something like this now on my channel
It looks realy good
Great idea! Are there any alternatives to the plastic used?
Also, I wanted to make this in a jar that has edges and the base is a octagon. Will it still worked the same since the sheet of glow paint is going to be round?
Great video...I found the exact paint that you have shown, however it doesn't say it glows in the dark anywhere on it. Did it glow for you??? it impossible to find glow paint in Australia!!! Thanks
Love it
I love it
I love this idea I would love to do it but I want to know how long does the glow last?
I'm in love with your accent! :)
So fabulouss
do you think the paint can do well with heat resistance? Such as lets say I take the jar, and put the glow dots all over it on the outside so that it glows at night... but also I can have a light bulb inside of it so that it works as a lamp as well...???
Ive done a few glowjars but when i did I painted dots on the inside of the jars, yhough this seems more practical as u can actually use the jars for something at the same time without worrying about the paint.!
This is very interesting and what did you do to change paper
Helloooooooo Bambi eyes! Wow!😀😘
Thanks it is really cool
Really want to make some of these! Do you have a picture of how they look in the dark?
