- In this weekly reading vlog, I am doing a BookTube behind the scenes video where I am reading 5 nautical books and show you the booktube lifestyle! I am also studying Spanish as I am motivated again to study languages.
I am trying to get ready for my own nautical adventure in May 2024 as I have a cruise planned, so in between nautical books I am trying to film some booktube videos head of schedule and get all packed for the trip.

I loved you walking us through a perfect day in your life! Your Spanish sounds so good, by the way! I embarrasingly don’t know Spanish (I should join one of those classes), but I grew up in a bilingual household, so I know what it’s supposed to sound like. You have nothing to be anxious about with those classes!
That’s awesome, you’ll have lots of language partners if you decide to start! Ah yes the perfect day, it is all about simple pleasures
I wanna check out The Deep. It sounds good. You had a great reading week.
Thank you! I read some great nautical books! I love a theme
😊
🙏🏼 🥰
Have fun on your vacation, I totally get the cleaning before leaving for vacation. It's nice to come home to a clean house.
Yes 🙌🏻 I just NEED things in order
Loved this vlog! I DNFed Our Wives Under the Sea. 😬
I can totally see why too.. I kept reading to see what happened under the sea but it was not worth it. Thanks for the feedback on the vlog, I’m itching to do more lifestyle stuff.
I've got Float Plan on my owned tbr but have yet to get to it. I'll have to try and prioritize it! Okay, you've influenced me! Adding Voyage of the Damned to my tbr!
Oh yes I hope you adore Float Plan! If you don’t… spare my feelings lol. Voyage of the Damned is so funky. Definitely be sure you’re in a mood for an obnoxious MC though! He simmers down a bit as time goes on.
Sheesh, so much going on this month. I used to be way more strict with myself on numbers of videos a week to try to please our overlords, but it started leeching the fun out of this hobby so now I just film when I wanna haha. Yaaaas Hell's Kitchen is so entertaining. Yaaas I am glad I helped accurately set your expectations for Voyage of the Damned.
I think if I’m not inspired with content ideas, I won’t force it to please the algorithm. My channel is so small, it won’t be the end of the world lol. You really did ensure I’d enjoy Voyager of the Damned, so thank you! It paired so well with my mood.
@@JAKandtheBookStack that’s a healthy mindset to have about it 🤗 yay! That makes me happy to hear
Great vlog! Your work ethic is inspiring. You are so good in the language class, don't feel anxious!
So sorry to hear about your significant other in the past who made that terrible decision.
I also enjoy books which explore grief, which is why Duma Key is one of my favourites. You may also enjoy Bag of Bones.
Thank you so much! I hope I can be consistent with my motivation so I can see some progress!
You’re really selling me on Duma Key! I’ve never heard much about it before
@@JAKandtheBookStack Duma Key is a hidden gem among King's works. I consider it among his best and it deserves so much more love. It's beautifully written with memorable characters and great atmosphere. I'm positive you'll like it. 🙂
@@NamasteBbooktube I was thinking of reading some King for Oct, so that might work, but you mentioned it for good nautical vibes so I want to squeeze it in this summer!
@@JAKandtheBookStack oh absolutely. It's set on an island and the name of the island is 'Duma Key'. It's a fantastic summer read.
