Have you seen the movie "La vita è bella"? It is also available in German - dubbed in German. It is quite interesting how they solved the translating scenes where in the original scenes spoken German is "translated" into Italian language.
There are more movies where people speaking German that original speak another language. Inglorious Bastards is such an example.
And did you know that the movies of Bud Spencer (Carlo Pedersoli) and Terence Hill (Mario Matteo Girotti) are very popular in Germany? It is because of the German dubbing, which is quite funny. Way more funny than the original dialogues.

Yes the garbage thing can actually happen.
Reason is: it costs money. When you have organic waste, recycable garbage or paper and it is mixed with other stuff, the garbage men might not take it and it will get disposed as "Restmüll" general waste which is way more expensive.
For organic waste, recycable garbage and paper there are often big bins for the whole apart, ent block.
People will get mad when the trahs is not taken away and the bins stay full and even more when the cost for the disposal is apportioned to all.
General waste is very often billed personal, recycable waste or organic per household / people per household.

To be honest, I am one of the people who comment other people’s behavior with regard to traffic lights… „crossing on red“… but that’s not because I‘m particularly „LAW AND ORDER!!!!“, but because I worry that people might have an accident and get injured or killed… close to my workplace is a particularly dangerous road crossing and a rail crossing as well, because right after the the rail crossing the trains emerge from a tunnel… nevertheless, people keep crossing during red for pedestrians, and during the last 12 months, at least two people were seriously or even lethally injured while crossing the rail track during their red phase…
