Definitely a great value. I love the screens. Just a bit cheap feeling on the top of the dash. And the fabric isn't as nice as Tacoma. So I think Tacoma is nicer. But the Ranger could be spec'd nicer for still a lower price.
Ranger is a ripoff. Reliability is shit. It looks stupid. No one wants one. I put a grand down to get on a wait list last Sept. Like thousands of other people! for the 2024 Toyota Tacoma i-FORCE MAX Hybrid. TRD off road. - 326 Hp 460 ft lbs. of torque! And up to 30 mpg.
2024 Ford Ranger The Ford Ranger T6 has been popular in most countries outside North America since 2012 to 2021. Available in various trim levels such as Wildtrak, Limited, Raptor, XL and XLT, the Southeast Asian version is pretty much assembled in Thailand before exporting it straight to most countries, including Malaysia. Does the North American model have the optional 2.0L twin-turbodiesel inline-4 engine?
Nice Video! I went with the 2024 Tacoma Off Road Premium! The antennas on the Ranger and Colorado remind me of old school antennas. Why do I feel like they are just waiting to break in a car wash?
@@BrosFOURRSpeed I like the interior of the Ranger, the vertical stack for the infotainment. I sat in one at a car show in Denver and the Ranger was more comfortable than the Tacoma.
Don't feel bad because a lot of others are on the fence between these two. Imagine if you can do a comparison between the Raptor and TRD Pro, that would pop off real quick!
I chose Tacoma TRD Sport as I am loyal to Toyota. I think it's the best looking midsize exterior and arguably the best interior. Coming from a gen3 Taco I'm thoroughly happy with the improvements.
I drove the 2024 tacoma and 2021 ranger (they didnt have a 24 ranger). The tacoma has more low end torque but overall I think i liked the ranger better. Road noise lower and i wasnt really a fan of the tacoma interior.
We just bought the ford Ranger. Best bang for the buck with a larger cabin, best seats and comfort, tows 7500 and the tech I liked better with a clearer screen. GMC Canyon was a close second, Colorado, Frontier and Tacoma finished last cause it was loud at freeway speeds and was the most expensive with way too much plastic on the interior.
Some of those haven't been in production for decades! But the newest generation Ranger, Colorado, Canyon and Frontier are all pretty strong competitors. I think GM is making a great truck now. Hopefully I can check one out!
In regards to the versatility of the Tacomas dash: Every screen is fully customizable on the dash with over 12 individual tools you can alternate between three screens.
You compared a sport ranger with a higher optioned tacoma. The lariat ranger should have been used and are priced right next to each other. When equally optioned the ranger interior is way ahead in looks and quality over the tacoma. The tacoma has a old blocky gm look to it.. You said the tacoma felt stronger when actually the ranger is faster and shifts smoother. You said the tacoma's transmission was rougher and justified it as standard truck qualities ? The engine noise was worse on the tacoma but you cited that as a good thing. Again ? The ranger can fit a sheet of plywood/drywall between the fenders and lay flat allowing it to haul way more material than the tacoma. The ranger can tow more than the tacoma and has more rear seat leg room. You said the tacoma's rear seat was to low than said both are equally comfortable? The ranger has more selections of drive modes and a rear locking diff and the tacoma doesn't. You said the ranger doesn't have rear vents than later admitted the tacoma doesn't either. The way you said tacoma at the start of the video we knew what you liked better. If you want to review seriously you need to compare apples to apples and not at a 15 grand split making one brand look good while making the other look drab. You failed to mention the tacoma's tranny problems with this new release and some turbo trouble also. I say all of this to say I own a older 4.0 4 by 4 off rd tacoma truck but the ranger tops the new tacoma on almost every detail. Review honestly with out bias to be taken seriously next time.
Like i said in this video, it wasn't a comparison of the trim levels, I talked about that...when these are the only two trucks on the lot because of inventory, I don't have an option to pick...so I used these to go over specs. Buy what you'll enjoy, just showing the differences. I've never even owned either, so can't be biased...A personal preference is not being biased...there's a difference.
@@BrosFOURRSpeedI think you missed the point being a taco fanboy. $45k in XLT gets you powered seats along with power sliding rear window, off-road, tow tech packages and rear locker. $50k in taco plus more for powered seats. Powered seats! This is 2024...
@@marklihsu you can get a Tacoma with power seats for $45K, look that up first..they seem to range between $45-50 depending on options. You get a turn key in the XLT..for 2024, I’d rather have push button and manual seats, than a turn key..
Toyota looks old already, really cheap plastic and shitty buttons. The Ranger is the better truck objectively. And now Toyota isn't even reliable anymore. Ranger hands down
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Ranger has better payload, better tow rating and built in features for towing. Customizable screen, and better screen quality. Better cameras, and camera quality aswell. The screen is even better integrated in the dash, and rear camera that's not even in the center on the Tacoma, and all the fake vents. I could go on, but it's clear you're bias... And all that for less money. Ford wins, hands down. But enjoy it
@@braamkotze473 Both have max payload around 1,700. Yrs the Ranger can tow a bit more. But anyone towing more than 6k pounds anyways should be buying a full size truck. Ranger. More bang for buck, reliable engine and way better interior.
