      Do you have the driver assistance package? Any issues with the front sensors/ACC sensors? I’ve heard some ppl need the system recalibrated after lowering.
      Audi wanted me to pay for recalibration after a slight adjustment to get me back to factory alignment spec.

    For those who are going to do this themselves just 2 tips. The rear camber works really well with a 21mm socket as well, and for the front upper control arms to put them back in you can hit them with a little scotch brite, and then put wheel bearing grease in the holes for them. But yes get an alignment after this is done. Great job on the video!

  • @bquattrog

    Good video, thanks for posting. Couple little things, on the front when you're removing the sway bar links, that big pop is because only one side is jacked up, the bar is under load. Jack both sides of the car up and you won't get that big pop. Also, for the rear inner control arm bolt, torque that with the suspension in the loaded position... ideally you'd want to do that to all your control arm bushings now that the car is lower.
    Thanks again, it was helpful! I'm installing these springs in a couple weeks 👍🏻

    so i have my audi B9 sline jacked up in the garage. I left the front half of the car outside. Thank god I watched this video first. I now put my car all the way in the garage if I run into issues. This is the best video online for this replacement. I will upload my before and after pics for your viewers.
    Thanks Chris

    Nice job boys. Car looks great. The springs will settle over a week or two of daily driving. I went with the k&w HAS combo. Make sure you check the bolts on the wishbones in the front in a day or two. Sometimes they need a little love after some driving.

    Just a tip for anyone doing the rear springs in cold climates or high mileage cars. Don't take off the rear camber bolt. It will most likely be seized and won't come out you'll have to cut it and get a new aluminum swing arm along with bolt assembly. Take the two lower bolts of where the disc is and pull the spring out. I'm down 400$ extra doing it this way.

    Love the channel...subbed a month or so ago. 034 has some of my favorite products for the b9 s4, except for the springs. I've seen several s4s with 034 springs & the don't look any lower at all imo. Def not worth the money or work for such a small drop if any at all. No hate tho....u guys got a cool channel. Helping me make decisions on my b9 s4.

      @king-o-vetts9899 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      These springs are actually performance springs for driving not show cars. My brother has the entire 034 suspension in his B9 HPDE car. They are stiffer than stock and lowered his car about 3/4 inch. He runs a 275x35x19 tire on custom rims and it handles WAY better.

    • @DailyDownshift
      @DailyDownshift  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the kind words! I wanted to go lower but I didn't want to slam it and I wasn't looking for a harsh ride so these seemed perfect.

      @fantasiasalmoni9541 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DailyDownshift I agree. I've got a B9 S5 SB and looking at the EDMs for the OEM+ look. Not interested in slamming. Got my hands on a set of 2021 20" Black optics (not many pre-facelifts that I know that have this set) and while I got 275/30/20's on it, and it fills out the wheel with no stretch like the stock 265's, it could use a touch like this to really sit well while not destroying the ride quality. It's already on sport suspension so I don't want a chiclet rattler.

    Nice videos boys. I have the exact same set up on my B9 S5, it drops down to about 2 fingers after a few months of installing. It looks fantastic but I also noticed that sometimes when you sit two people in the back, there are chances that will push the suspension too low and trigger a suspension warning light. As far as I am concerned, the warning light goes away once the load isn't there and cost no harm. But just thought I would give you a headsup. Also how is the downpipes working on the car? I am currently running a Fi catback and just debating if I want to go even further to get a downpipe install on mine.

  • @darksaigon
    @darksaigon 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Too bad you guys cut the front re-install, which seems to be pretty important in my opinion. Im referring to the torque specs, the fact that you also need to do so with the suspension loaded etc, in risk of having noise/bushing damage issues. I think those steps are very important. I also read that the bump stops need to be trimmed 10 mm from 034 motorsport. I have a base suspension on my A4 B9.5, this gives me some guidance except for what I pointed out (missing shown steps.).
    Another concern will be with stretched bolts, did you guys replace them?
    I just bought my springs today, I am still debating on doing it myself or paying a shop to do it (which will facilitate the alignment and get everything done at the same time).

    • @DailyDownshift
      @DailyDownshift  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I consulted 034 in advance and they advised that everything should be fine. With that said, doing it at home will never be perfect but as far as we're concerned it's the best way to learn your car. Did not replace any bolts. Best of luck!
