Part 1: • Gran Turismo 4 Spec II... Some of these were already shown in part 1 but have been redone. Getting closer to having every significant car covered now.
This is incredible. i'm 15 seconds into the video and I felt the urge to comment that your work is truly amazing. Thank you for your service for the GT4 community.
since downloading the randomizer around 8 months ago i have been following this Spec 2 mod like a hawk, and everything i am seeing it will make me fall in love with the game all over again when it finally does come out. so beyond hyped for it, keep up the great work you are doing with it
Ohh Maaann!! You are the best🔥 I love this game and I love the work you do, keep it up and don't change, you are going to make history in the world of Gran Turismo
4:53 this remembers me GTL's GTA, surprisingly that sound is properly ALFA, even if some modification would be nice. I passed a bit in reworking 4 cylinders in GTL
Hey, Bro! Could you change the sound of the tires? Despite being a big fan of Gran Turismo since 1998, I have to confess that the tire sounds in Forza are better. Congrats from Brazil!
It's possible in theory, but in reality it would be a pain to make it work - it would need to be equal length or shorter than the existing sound, which isn't easy when finding a higher quality one
I always thought 787B's sound was one of the best matched in GT franchise, until I started this video. Great sounds, worth to be used also in other games. Imagine GTR2's Lister sounding like that Jag, with GTR2's tranny as well
Amazing work! I'm just playing the randomizer, and noticed that you have reworked the Nissan R92CP and R89CP sounds. At least for me, sounds weird, having heard both originals and real life counterparts. The rest of the reworked sounds are better than the OG ones.
Fantastic showcase, great to see the engine sounds in this game finally get substantial improvement :D this may sound like a stretch, but do you think that a custom soundtrack would be possible? Similar to that of original Xbox games like PGR2 & Burnout 3?
In terms of the user providing their own music, nah, the game runs from a packed "volume" file, so any changes to files have to be done as mods rather than through the game's own interface
Yes Admiester!!! I'm loving what I'm hearing here, I'd say this showcase was a definite improvement over the last one, not to say the last was bad, but there were some examples where I couldn't really tell the difference with a small number of the cars, but not this time, they're all definitely different and definitely better for it, most of these cars in this showcase sound fantastic, I normally play onboard so I can't wait to hear what a lot of these sound like when the engine sound is put front and centre (or at least I think the cars sound better onboard with all the different noises) especially those Group-C cars, they sound fucking sick. Honestly great stuff, genuinely. However, I just want to mention something I'm a bit more indifferent to, the F1 car. In one of your last videos I commented about the F1 car (Your restored driving missions and added cameras video) and you said that it was one of the last car sounds you were dreading to do XD I can imagine why. I mean I know the stock gear ratios are fucked on this car so that really doesn't help to sell the idea that it's an F1 car, also I play onboard so it'll probably sound better there too, but I wish it sounded just a little more special, you know it being an F1 car an all. Just something to consider. But yeah don't let that take away from the good you've done, I'll still be on this day one anyway, I've actually been saving a drink for the release XD
Appreciate the comment, I know that the last video had some that were less refined because it was a lot earlier in the process, but now I think I've improved a lot more and the bar has been raised a bit. The F1 I know is one of the weakest but it's very tough to find a good source for a 18k-ish RPM V12. The one I'm using now isn't ideal but I certainly think it's still better than vanilla, so it's staying for release, and in the future I can maybe look to update it.
@@TheAdmiester V12? Ahh right, see I was expecting to hear a V10, I personally always thought that this style of F1 car was that of a V10 F1 car. Ok well the sound makes more sense now, it is still an improvement over the old one I agree
Hope fully the R390 GT1 (my "main" car since 2014 lol) never gets the proper engine sound, the classic GT4 one sounds so insanely good, despite not being accurate.
I'm a bit lazy/crap at video editing but Rowdy has a good comparison of some of the sounds here: th-cam.com/video/ai5o6WL1KaE/w-d-xo.html A couple of them have changed since his video such as the 1969 Camaro, but it's still a useful vid.
can't wait for the Sauber C9 showcase because for some reason PD lumped its sound with Toyota GT One, which has 2 completely different crankshaft configurations (crossplane vs flatplane respectively), until GT Sport where they finally came to their senses lmao.
For this mod I set up one sound that's shared between the CLK and C9 (in real life they're NA and twin turbo versions of the same engine so I figured sharing the sound could be forgiven). The CLK is shown in Rowdy's preview vid here: th-cam.com/video/ai5o6WL1KaE/w-d-xo.html
Any plans of randomizing the used car section as well? It's kinda boring to start out with the same cars as everybody else since the list is identical based on the day.
Did you buff the Peugeot 905? It doesn't take forever to shift up. It's one of my favourite cars, and Polys did it dirty, so it's nice that it's faithful to the real car now. Also for some feedback, the sound on the F1 car is too flat, making it sound very arcadey. If there was some variation in the sound, similar to the V10 F1 cars, it would sound waayyy better. Been looking forward to this mod for so long!!!
I did, it does make the car better in general, but it also means that it's a little more kicky and eager to slide when you downshift into 2nd - I think that's a good balance for it being more useful anyway
Is it possible to make a compressed version for android? It would take days to extract to the folder of the emulator. Anyways, yes I tried this on pcsx2, LOVELY, THANKS FOR THE MASTERPIECE. Just hoping for an android version because thats where I play the most. ❤❤❤
Hello, is it possible to add all the cars and tracks from gt3 and gt4 prologue (gran canyon short, rome, etc) into spec II ? And the mod is very cool gg it's very good
Great work, it sounds incredible. Is there any chance to port some of these sounds to GT6 Spec II? The Peugeot 905 and the Mclaren F1 (from last vid) sounds way better than the GT6 ones
Also quick question bro do you know how we can change the HUD so that it will show analog tachometer instead of digital in hood cam? I've been trying to figure out in online beta but apparently they changed it from the release
@@btfo420 I do have a ko-fi page here: ko-fi.com/theadmiester I was hesitant to make one initially but since I've had a lot of people ask I figured I'd launch it with the mod For the HUD, I think I'm close-ish to finding out the logic behind it in that I can force analog or digital on every camera, but to actually associate each one with a different camera will take more digging (and then I have to consider how many parts to expose as options to the player)
