      Except for the rock gardens without high enough landscape walls I don't see a problem as long as the customer is willing to pay for it. Nobody makes money while the fleet, men, and equipment are transiting to another worksite.

  • @petequinones3454

    Rivet some rubber flaps on your shutes and you'll greatly reduce the risk of spitting rocks directly out. They'll hit the flap and naturally want to go at a downward angle about 3ft from shute. Kind of like a mudflap but more pliable. Hope this helps, keep up the good work👍

    We feel your pain on broken windows in the past. That is why we have all mowers keep the deflectors DOWN....!!!!!
    Most of your video shows the mowers with deflectors up. If you need narrower access for the front yards then use a 36” or 48” Stand On (Gravely Scag Wright Exmark etc.)

    I have a fun little story. I work for a school district doing custodial/maintenance work, sometimes I get to go out and mow. Well at our district admin offices we had just replaced all of the windows. I was there mowing and didn't realize I hit a rock, that rock split and took out 2 of the 4 windows in the superintendent's office, while he was working at his desk right in front of them. Thankfully he and my boss were very understanding about it.

    You need some shoot flaps. Exmark makes the best one you operate it with your foot open and close with the roll of your foot. I New he was going to break a window at the beginning of the video when you could see him blowing all the grass right in the rock gardens and against the house. No need for all that grass in the rock, will probably save you a good hour blowing after they’re done mowing if you put them on. We won’t run a mower without one. Once you have it you won’t believe that you ever mowed without one saves you a Ton of time blowing

  • @scotshabalam2432

    I can easily explain the still effect of the tires:
    It's like if you had a comb and in between the gaps of the comb's teeth is the frame that records a picture of video.
    What happens with the tires is that as each "comb tooth" blocks in between the frames, the next gap opens when the tire is in position same enough to it's last viewed position that our eyes judge it to have not moved.

  • @Sevalecan
    @Sevalecan 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    It's not just about framerate matching. That said, the wheel has multiple spokes, so the minimum speed for this effect would be (frame rate / number of spokes). Part of the issue is your exposure time. Short exposure won't show the motion blur (sometimes motion blur might be desirable, not saying it is here). So that plays into it as well.

      You can tell they must blow all those rocks out, at least the broken glass one was grass free. However, when he said they do that place in 4-6 hours, I knew that was in part to just letting the grass fly. Thats a nice property, I'd try bagging the front yards and then doing the wide open areas no bag. Maybe set up a tarp to dump grass on and drag into the woods and just blow the pile flat. Granted after cutting that place a few times the bag may be off forever

  • @davidmorse8432

    Try using mulching mower decks on your mowers. They do not have a discharge chute so do not throw rocks. Their drawbacks are that the blades must be very sharp and the grass must be dry.

    I don't understand why everyone is complaining about the grass clippings in the beds. Obviously Stanley knows that it's wrong to leave them in. In some areas guys don't mind shooting the clippings into the beds and then blowing them out with the blower after. Not all mowers have shoot deflectors and up in the north and canada we don't bag our grass. It's simple as blowing out the beds after we're done mowing.

      Do you really think those wahoos will blow every bed after they are done?

    • @sglc7100

      @@bikes7777 yes I do because they work for Stanley. He said they've been doing this contract for the past 4 or 5 years. Do u really think that they would still be doing it if they left the clippings in the beds? I don't think so.

    I’ve never tried it but seems like one of the chute blockers made of chain would really help keep this to a minimum. May help keep the grass out of all the beds too. 🤷‍♂️

    I would recommend the foot controlled grass flap brand grass flap. I use mine whenever I'm near or mowing were I can hit siding or Windows. I went years without them and should of had grass flap sooner. They significantly. decrease your mowing time if you have a lot of landscaping beds. My guess the hill.

    Shards of glass outside the window? Looks like it was broken from the inside. 😳

    • @ducewags
      @ducewags 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is a dual paine window. There is thermal gas in them under pressure seperating the inner glass and outer glass. If you notice, the inside paine is not broken.

      Stanley "Dirt Monkey" Genadek i had customers in past try to pin stuff on me they didnt want to pay for. One was a window.another was damage to a car, mind you car wasnt home when i mowed🙄. Ive always run my business with honesty and integrity, was raised that way. But people will try get out of expensive repairs if find a way, mower on hill side chute would been pointed down hill, that means a ricochet, if it did, widow more then likely would have been cracked, small break, but not that bad of damage due to loss of velocity. Its good to be honest, but smart to pay attention to details. Be safe out there
