Any suggestions on whether to unplug the battery if you have a Multivan and heated seats? On some sites it says Yes and on some it says that it is not necessary.
I'm a paraplegic and I want to use swivel seats to help me get from the cab into the back of the van (without getting out and back in since this takes alot of time and effort). Can these seats swivel easily with someone seated on them?
Hi, I really don't think there is enough room to be sat on the seat while it is rotating. I don't have a van here with these swivels in at present to test the theory but, looking at the video, I would doubt it would work unfortunately.
Hi John, Unfortunately we do not currently supply a swivel for this model. We are always looking to expand our catalogue so in the future it may be something we look at, however at the moment this isn't something we supply. Thanks.
Hi can you use this swivel with the base for the two seater passenger seat, even with some mods and just replace the seat to a one seater? The base of the passenger side of my T5 contains a battery and lot of electical stuff. I don't think I can go with a single base. Thanks.
Hi, that doesn't really sound possible to me. It sounds like your options are to stick with the double seat and accept it won't rotate with all the electricals under it or replace it with a single seat and base and try to fit electric stuff in the single base. Or, if you are feeling adventurous, move some of the electrical stuff to somewhere else in the van. Unfortunately, if you start trying to modify seats or swivel bases your vehicle insurance would be void.
The VW seat base trim doesn't fit back on with these in place. However we will have a replacement trim panel available on the website soon. It looks the same as OEM version but does not wrap over the top so avoids the swivel.
@@barrygiles8116 Unfortunately we could not comment for sure, past experience has shown us that some vans require the plastic trimming down or removing. If the plastic wraps over the seat base even slightly, this is what could interfere with where the bottom plate of the swivel needs to sit. The drivers swivels do have spacer bars or raising shims as there sometimes referred to as but they still may not sit even at the back if the plastic is raised over the seat base. It's always would worth a try and like I said we offered a 'No Quibbles' returns policy should you find it not compatible.
Hi there. Is the van you are working on a T5? I bought this swivel and just fitted it to a T6 and the red level fits way worse than on your video. It restricts the seat in pretty much every movement. It looks like I will have to cut a huge chunk out of the plastic seat fairing to allow the seat to go any lower than the top of the range. Do you think I have fitted it incorrectly?
Hi Simon, the van in this video is a 2016 T6. On these seats the plastic trim starts to hit the red lever when it is about 4 'pumps' from the lowest position. The seats have about 15 height adjustment 'pumps' in total. I'm not sure if there has been a seat design change on the recently released T6.1 or not? If you can't solve the problem and don't want to start cutting chunks out of your plastic seat trim then please contact our customer service team to arrange a return. You may find that a Sportscraft swivel suits you better as the release lever is located centrally under the front of the seat.
I’ve tried using your plates in my transit, passenger worked fine but the actual swivel plate under the drivers seat catches the handbrake when on as well as off
Hi, sorry to hear that. Please get in touch with our customer service team via the website so that they can sort this out for you asap. It may be to do with a particular van model/age. Thanks, Mike
Kiravans it’s for a mk8 transit van, after I phoned up to enquire I was told your swivel plates for the transit custom would work for the mk8 transit by your sales people, they don’t. I’m now having to try and lower my handbrake at an additional expense by a mechanic which will then hopefully along the swivel plate to actually swivel. I was not made aware of this at the time I placed the order.
@@amacmedia3221 Apologies for our poor advice, it sounds like we don't have up to date information on that product. Could I ask what year your Transit is please so that I can follow this up.
thank you!! best video so far!
This may be too early to ask, but just in case you've had the opportunity to see one, will it be possible to fit these to the id buzz?
Good video Mikey. Have a T4 now so fun and games whilst isolated! Take care, jc
Sorry JC, just seen this! Enjoy your T4 :)
Hi Mikey, it's a t5 I found out. Trouble with my double fly wheel but it's a nice drive!

Yes you'll need to unplug any electrics and then re-connect once you fit the seat back in position

Thanks for the video,
how would you rate this bracket? Is it stable? Or does the seat move a lot?
Hi ,there will be minimal movement if fitted to the instructions.
Hi can I do this on VW touareg 2005 passenger side?
Hi there, I don't there will be enough room for the chair to swivel. Sorry
Hiya, do you have this product (or equivalent) for Land Rover Defender?

Do you know if anything like this is available for double seats yet?
Yes, we have one for the double passenger seat available on the website www.kiravans.co.uk
Kiravans i meant just a top rather than rotating the base.
@@vdubster Ah, I don't know of anything that just rotates the top part.
Kiravans I read that one was coming but maybe that was the Rib single seat one.
Is it possible to make it with fully electric seat?
Hi , it should be ok on the single swivel.
@@kiravans5874 thanks
Can you use this on a vehicle with heated seats?
Hi Paul, yes I believe you can. The hole in the middle of the swivel is big enough to pass any required seat wires through.
Brilliant thankyou for the quick reply. I’ll be ordering one from you. Thanks again. Paul

Does it swivel both way?
No, the RIB swivels only rotate one way.
Do they make one for a nv200
Hi Matthew, I have had a quick look on their website and the NV200 is not listed unfortunately.
