No question one the best singers ever, Donna can sing any genre of music and is the only singer that has Grammys in 5 different categories from Rock to Disco.

I was working at Tower Records on Sunset Blvd when this came out. She was one of the biggest singers then. Disco allowed vocalists like this to shine. The productions tended to blend into each other for a nonstop dance floor movement, so it was the vocalist, imo, who made a song great and Ms. Summer shone. She did a duet with Barbra Streisand called Enough is Enough that topped the charts for weeks. Gloria Gaynor is another voice from this era. Grace Jones and Sister Sledge… I could go on.😊

Stevie Nicks first became famous in the '70s when she joined the band Fleetwood Mac. In the '80s she started a solo career while still with Fleetwood Mac. Another great artist who emerged at the same time and had the same career trajectory is Chaka Khan who began with the band Rufus then moved onto a successful solo career while still maintaining duties with Rufus. And please explore more Donna.

Donna has a famous live album from 1978, 'Live and More'. The "more" was in reference to new studio recordings that closed the album. This 1999 live album/concert video was a tip of the hat to the '78 album.

Donna was inspired to this song by a lady who cleaned toilets in a restaurant she visited! She found her asleep at her little money tray! Great song! Opening our eyes to the really hard working people!
