    I was a CNC EDM machinist in life and yes I'm very interested in seeing how this works. Most of my EDM machining work was done in the 1980s, 1990s and early 2000s until I got hit by a car which put me out of commission. I will be watching your shows to see how this works. Sinker machine I would like to see die steel die making for forming and coining dies with die steels.

    Such a cool machine! I’d like to see a comparison of a part you could mill, but is made more efficiently with EDM. Stats like time/material saved and surface finish. 😎💪

      Edm sinking is not more efficiently but in mold industry is only possible way to make forms or cavities

    I learned on Charmilles Roboform 400's while I was Pratt & Whitney's e.d.m. die sinker guru for over a decade.

    Excellent choice. Charmilles makes some great machines. I've been operating a variety of EDM machines for almost 30 years. Charmilles is definitely my favorite. We currently have 4 350s at our shop in Tempe. Absolutely love them. You guys should look into getting the optical probe option if you haven't already. It can greatly reduce setup time.     As an old F&M '88 qualified ... I could've never imagined the gear you guys show here.
    The environment where the trades are so 'rockstar' nowadays is mind blowing.
    I have my trade and also followed with B. Civ.Eng. UQ ....kiddies my advice is do a trade and then skill up from there!! Don't trust universities straight from school to give you anything.

    Very interesting , question what is the most speed cut you can have with this machine tools for steel ? , be cause at school we talk about EDM and EDM wire and he told that very slow to work , i use a EDM wire in my Higher study ,for me to create my molding in end of my study and in 3 min i have the 3 pieces of my mould.

    Please, please, please make an electrode to cut a helix gear or a spline into carbide or something hard via sinker edm! You've finaly touched on gear machining, i could provide you a simple 3D model of a gear if you want. You've made a lot of crazy stuff, gears are the only thing left! Greets as allways ❤

      ONA is a good machine for large work but we wanted something that was insanely fast and accurate so we upgraded and got an AgieCharmilles from GF!

    Espirt cam has been the best for programming edm wire I loved to see how it compares the GF’s program

      The GF program is specifically for sinker EDM programming, we will be using Esprit for the wire👍🏼

    I thought those machines were not made any more didn’t know they still making them , I here we can’t get parts for the older ones so mostly everybody went to Mitsubishi, in the early 2000 , and they are awesome

    I'd like to see you sink threads inside and outside. A differential jackscrew would be really cool.
    Are there any modes where you can make a pocket in the x or y direction at the bottom or side of a hole?

    Interstingly enough, im rebuilding an engine and i noticed the valve cover is all chewed up around the spark plug hole. Well oil used to get into that hole and the coil for the spark plug was leechimg electricity through the oil which ate at the metal cover

    Me and my colleague went out to a machine shop for capabilities audit not too long ago and saw one of these but the solution was like Nikolodeon slime green 😂

    Is that the permanent place for the wedm and sinker? It's pretty close to a mill, and vibration would be an issue, no matter how well the construction is of the machines. Or is it placed on a different floor section?

    Edm a 2 piece 0 tolerance cube where 1 piece slides into the other, but of 2 different materials so when the temperature isn't just right they do not fit together or do not come apart

    P350 is what we use at my work has been very reliable, tool changer works quick and easy, bed very stable that thing is going nowhere and the controls are so easy to use

    I would like to see a EDM rifle barrel with rifling if it's even possible. Some how I feel like it has got to be better than traditional methods, accuracy wise and send it to Eric Cortina for testing.

    700K more subs 2 get a mill no one else deserves more than TITANs, I've used a c-axis that had only 2&1/2 deg increments, Bringing state of the ART is magic & only through TITANS of CNC

    I've been programming and working with 3-axis and 4-axis CNC milling machines at my internship I have had, what is the use case of this Sinker EDM machine that a regular CNC milling machine could not do?

      regular milling machine will always leave some rads on sharp corners and sometimes when cutting molds for thin walled plastic products also need edm cutting.

      You can burn hex and star pockets no problem on this machine but it’s not the same as broaching as it is using electricity to erode the material.

    I kind of wonder how possible it is to make an internal/external feature on a sinker EDM like as a thread. Of course making a thread on an EDM isn't as practical, but what about some other feature like it

      It’s possible to make threads on sinker but diamond threadmill is a little more practical. Helical gears can be burnt on a sinker which you might be interested to see

    Titan burn out the Titan 1-M and use the C axis to make the thread in all holes.

      Yes… great machines for bigger parts. We are focusing now on a smaller high tech machine. Of course GF has bigger machines also.

    Titan all you do is say this is the best, for size you say small, the tootling you say is crazy cool. These are useless vague universal adjectives. You tell us nothing about why it's the best, why it's considered small in comparison to what, why are the tooling unique. This video has no substance

If you want, you can tell your friends it has, high velocity pulsation, iGap technology, Form eCAM software for sinker programming, high inertia C axis, etc… those are just a few of the reasons why this machine is CRAZY, as well as why GF is the best!!

As someone in the IT field, I would love to understand how your IT team manages all that hardware. CAD/CAM standards etc.... I come from the AEC world, and I'm curious how much it overlaps?
