I hope it s not Plymouth. As a leeds fan, playing then three times in a few weeks last year and seeing them really make a game of it, made me have a soft spot for them
As a Pompey fan it’s been a nice day trip to the championship hopefully see you guys again in 2 years we still want to keep mousinho though it’s not particularly his fault
Argyle fan here. Leaving at 5am to go to Leeds on Saturday. We are already missing Edwards, Cissoko, Gibson and Gyabi for the game... Can we have a point for just turning up please 😅
I have seen Argyle play like a top half Premier side only to see Argyle play like a bottom half League 2 side seven days later, I have no idea where we will finish!
We have a kinder run into Christmas, just need to maintain a grasp on 21st while we get our players back and squad starts to gel better. Away form is a some sort of black magic which I'm not sure we'll ever figure out.
Luton are this year's Rotherham. Plymouth likely to go down. Bit hard to predict the third this early as there are potentially 10 other sides capable of going down. Am going to say Oxford unluckily.
There are more better technical players at this piece, there are more players that play this with more precision but you have the heart and soul of this piece. Without a doubt!
Look at sheff wed last year can go from turgid to ecstasy. Unfortunately as a pompey fan i really dont want a new manager bounce as really feel for mousinho, lots of pre season injuries, a horrific set of opening fixtures that has clearly killed morale. My biggest gripe with mousinho is not tightening up the middle of the park. Pack struggling in a 2 and needed to goto a 3 but just straight swapped Pack for dozzell who his previous clubs fans say 'lets the game pass him by'. He didnt do bad against wednesday but teams playing through our midfield with ease in a 2
Luton is nowhere near where we should be. I really like Edwards, but when you look at facts. He got us to the Premier League with Jones team. He made a few alterations, which made us more attacking. The Premier League we conceded to many. We were unlucky with injuries, and you can't win games with up to 13 of your squad injured, but the question is, why are they injured. This year, we have exactly the same issue. I think we have 1 centre half who is not injured. Is it training? Are we buying injury prone players? Our pre season was a farce. We always get our business done early. This year, we spent 10 million on Mcguinness, and the rest are mostly free transfers even though we have parachute payments. Edwards has one style of play mainly, but there is no plan b or c. Coventry are where they are because they can't defend, so Edwards decides after they score their first goal that we are going to defend, instead of being more aggressive and going after them. We all knew what was going to happen. He has 2 games left at most. If we don't get 4 point out of them, we need to change. Loverly bloke but tactically poor. I could rant for another hour, but I'll leave it there before I lose my shit.
Agree 100% and too many strange substitutions and too much reliability on Clark. Also could rant for ages and struggle to defend him. If we win against WBA may change my mind but unlikely to
Millwall wont be going down. People underestimate the importance of a team full of seasoned Championship players who work hard. Saville, Cooper, Bryan, Honeyman, Leonard, Mcnamara, Watmore.... all solid Championship players... Add Esse & Tanganga into the mix, two of the best players in the championship, we will comfortable finish midtable this year.
Correct me if I'm wrong Sam, but I think Argyle were doing alright this time last season and then Schmacher left and upset the Apple cart. Difficult for Foster to pick up the bits and it ended a huge struggle to avoid relegation. Have to remember that Argyle are bottom of the league as regards funds so it will always be a struggle. We need to pick a few decent loan players.
To soon to tell. 90 points up for grabs. Any team below Watford get three wins on the bounce, then they are in the play-off position. Best time to look is after the Christmas games, those three games gove a clearer idea. As an Oxford fan I want us, Pompey and Derby to stay up. The Jim Smith clubs but of course three do have to go. So far I can't tell. I know we need to win at least one in every three to stay up. But if we lose against Watford we could end up near the bottom. Yet I believe we can get enough points to stay up, but for those at the bottom now need four points out of every nine available.
Pompey look most likely to me. Feel the other 2 positions are wide open, and teams in the current top half could be drawn into the mix. I’d bet at least one team currently outside the bottom 6 will go down as QPR, Luton, Plymouth, Cardiff & Stoke all have plenty going for them.
The reason why the Duffy / Cordoba cb pairing is doing worse for Norwich is because Nunez isn't there to protect the back four, and goalie Gunn is also injured.
Right now it looks as if Pompey got it totally wrong this summer regarding signings and strategy. As soon as their opponents shift into second gear they are in deep trouble, as we saw again in the second half against Wednesday. January cannot come soon enough, but will it be too late by then?
Qpr have been in relegation battle every season since we came back down in 2015/16 (apart from the Warburton era). Eventually we will go down if we dont put a stop to that. Look at Birmingham and reading etc. It is inevitable, we cant keep getting away with it every year.
Plymouth were awful on Saturday and were lucky to get the result they did.i was sure that with 15mins to go that the game was over.but somehow they managed to find a way to get back in the game.yes our results aren't the best but I think our home form will be good enough to keep us up.
Given our budget and squad size, Argyle will always be in the bottom half of the table. However, this year is looking ominous for us. One lucky and ill-deserved point from nine against Cardiff, Millwall and Preston (no disrespect intended) just isn't good enough. Our run in at the end of the season is appalling, probably one of the toughest for any team. We need to be comfortable mid-table with 40+ point by the end of February and that doesn't look like its going to happen.
As a QPR fan I completely agree. Gonna have to reply on him until the next international break. Would rather have Alfie Lloyd up front than him. Against Coventry I didn't see Celar jump for one header, his touch was abysmal and he couldn't stay onside. He's miles off championship level
He’s Playing up front alone doing doggy’s (Celar) chasing shadows we have to play two up top. Lloyds good but he wouldn’t last a half if he runs like he does. The midfield just isn’t working you can’t have Anderson and madsen who don’t run! We actually miss colback a lot. Personally think It’s Time to get Hayden in, he’s willing and waiting. I do think we’ll stay up.
Fairly confident it won't be Wednesday. So far, only Leeds, Sunderland and Millwall have looked better in the games we played, and Millwall is at least as much down to a poor Wednesday performance as anything they did, and of the teams above us we haven't played, I haven't seen anything to suggest Blackburn, Watford or Derby are any better. But there really isn't much between most teams. A lucky bounce, a bad refereeing call, a moments lapse in concentration very often will make the difference between a win or a loss, so any individual game is always going to be really hard to call.
LATE 80S DID MY 3 YEARS CHEF STUDYING AT HIGHBURY TECH IN PORTSMOUTH WORKED RIDICULOUS HOURS TO PUT MYSELF THROUGH SCHOOL WAS 19 AT THE TIME AND TO UNWIND WENT TO FRATTON PARK WATCHED POMPEY A LOT EVEN GOT A PROMO UP TO PREM BACK THEN THEY ARE STRUGGLING BADLY AT THE MO AND YOU CANNOT SEE A WAY OUT FINGERS 🤞 CROSSED FOR ME THEY CAN DO SOMETHING BUT DOESN'T LOOK GOOD IM A FOREST SUPPORTER OF NEARLY 50 YEARS ACTUALLY BUT NEEDED TO WATCH SOME FOOTBALL SO POMPEY WERE MY ADOPTED TEAM WHILST AT COLLEGE CHEERS GUYS GREAT KNOWLEDGE AS ALWAYS FROM DAVID REGULAR WATCHER AND SUBBER TO THIS CHANNEL ♥️🏐🥅⚽💙❓
bulut worst manager ever. robinson gets 6 goals in pre-season & does'nt get picked. he barely picked colwill who is bossing games. give riza until the end of the season & see where we are.
I’m an Oxford fan, massive 6 pointer this weekend. Unless we start winning the odd game here and there, with all the current injuries we could be down there quickly.
Oxford won’t go down, they have plenty of money to spend in January. They will strengthen. I think people are being lazy tipping them for the drop, just because they came up in the playoffs.
@@BenjaminBloom It was aimed mostly to people prior to the start of the season Ben. Many pundits, and media and bookies tipped them for the bottom three. There are definitely 3 teams worse than them. ie Portsmouth, QPR, Plymouth.

As a Sunderland fan I really don't want to see Plymouth or Portsmouth to go down. Loud decent fans and have friends who support both club's.
I hope it s not Plymouth. As a leeds fan, playing then three times in a few weeks last year and seeing them really make a game of it, made me have a soft spot for them
Rooney will take plymouth down
Very fair comment from Sam on Argyle, he has it spot on.
Cardiff fan. After a dire start, it's nice to look forward to games again. Thanks for your honest assessment and kind words. Much appreciated.
It’s still a little early to predict who goes down but it won’t be Plymouth.I’m confident of that.

Riza has really turned Cardiff around. People down here are already wondering how long we can hold on to him.
Millwall wont be going down. People underestimate the importance of a team full of seasoned Championship players who work hard. Saville, Cooper, Bryan, Honeyman, Leonard, Mcnamara, Watmore.... all solid Championship players...

I think Portsmouth, Swansea and qpr, (i am a Swansea fan)
I’d say QPR Pompey and Argyle and I’m a QPR fan.
Promoted to the Premier League
Sunderland
Sheffield United
West Brom
Relegated to League One
Portsmouth
QPR
Luton Town

Glad not to see Wednesday on this list 😅 Do you think we are good enough then?
Portsmouth, QPR, Plymouth for now

I still wouldn’t rule us out if we don’t start winning away if we can start winning away there’s nothing stopping us finishing top 10
Not sure why Sam is not convinced by Hull at all when they’ve outplayed Derby away and Burnley in the last week. Only missing a decent striker
I’m guessing it’s because he worked on the 4-0 defeat at Norwich but you’d have to ask him
We won’t go down the way we’re playing imo.
Portsmouth, Cardiff and Queens Park Rangers for Me

Well duh
Portsmouth totally out of there depth definitely going down, Plymouth probably going down, then it's between qpr,Luton, stoke
In context, it's their not there.
Plus, Pompey will do enough to stay up (just)
Lot of Millwall haters out there😂😂millllllllllll
Qpr are in a mess once again , some fans starting to wonder if going down would be best thing to help club rebuild and bounce back
Depends on investment. Birmingham has been given shitloads of cash, and it shows. Wisley spent, though.
We (QPR) go down and we won’t be bouncing back for a while. Absolute shambles.
