You need to switch to some Dream Mat - like matting as it keeps much less concentrate allowing you to pan out faster. It should also be more active allowing you to keep running for as long as you like and never loose any fines.

notice the black sand bands in the bank. I theorize that the black sand is washing out of the banks, and that is why it is thin at first and gets thicker as you move down towards the water.

Another great video and great gold from the Superior lake. You and Rigby are the masters. My oldest son is a wild land firefighter he works for the Bureau of land Management in Wyoming. Just visited him and he took me to a creek on federal land and we prospected a few days. Had fun and found gold, maybe stake a claim who knows. Mind your top knot and keep your powder dry pard.

And yes there is gold on the wave break area i tested it by walking in about 6ft in and dragging a bucket towards the beach it was spotty 1 bucket with some gold next bucket draged right next to it nothing to speak of test it and then go back to the black sand veins higher on the beach seems to be more concentrated you can see it test test test it Mike pung three finger pinch and move east from either camp site and don't for get to do the paperwork at the checkin booth you are required to have it in your possession when mining the beach rules and regulations Are provided within Ps bring something light and just big enough to pan in it will keep you from getting soaked and running back and forth from the deposit to the crashing waves when sampling deposits of black sands Extreme time saver Good luck good equipment and good advice from jason will get that shiny in your pan GUARANTEED

Did you try down by the waterline? You may dig down about foot and hit cobble mixed with black sand and coarse black sand. Can be some good gold in there!

Try lypo battery's thay are more expensive but lite and can fit in your backpack just make a protective casing so thay don't get punctured couse it might set you on fire or explode if thay do
Right on, have you ever thought about using a small boat loaded with your gear you could beach and prospect? A couple batteries, cooler, food, gear all loaded in the boat.
Hey, I love your videos. I’m originally from up state NY on Lake Ontario and most people don’t know we have gold on the beaches in spots as well but there is a law in NY when you find the shiny stuff you have to give it to big brother and tell them where you find it. WELL I said F that and moved to North Carolina where they talk about having creeks filled with the shiny stuff, and to my surprise they weren’t at all, And who would have thought I should have moved to Wisconsin!!
Ya we were just getn started way up here in NY year and half ago and got a warning for the metal detector when I was scoping out the sands. Weve slowed down but continued to build our panning arsenal and are waiting for the stillness of winter to hit the bedrock hard. Again perfect channel to watch. Panning in ice all winter and beach sands.
Glad to see you get to Superior a handful of times this year! Given that there will be foot of snow on the beach like tomorrow and the 24 hour drive, I will not be.
