- I take a detailed look into how Olympic swimmers train as they prepare for competition. World Record Siobhan Haughey, World Champion Anastasia Gorbenko and National Record Holders Sajan Prakash & Adam Chillingworth show of some serious swimming skills and talents as they dig in deep and make that push for the Paris 2024 olympics.

Great video as always! Its so much fun to get a look inside world class training. Also, that facility is amazing.
Facility is one of the best I’ve been to. Also a 25 and a world class gym.
It's good to watch that the coach actually know how to swim not just giving instructions

Great video Sonny, full of some detailed explanations which are really useful. Love the variety of camera angles as well, keep it up.

Thanks for sharing how world-class swimmers train! Great content! Can you say hi to Siobhan? Big fan of her.
I’ll pass on the greetings
Next video, should be of you doing that session they did!
I’ll vlog you doing it ahaha me and Tom did one of her sets today and I race her in 100 free
Different style to some other of your coaching vlogs such as with Chad. But really informative and interesting
I’m trying to make more evergreen content which is less in moment but more informative. I’m glad you enjoyed the new style.
agree
Can someone explain the workout, like the colour codes and the system with the numbers
I came in because of Siobhan
🐐
Wow, state is doing 3km daily. Olympian are doing 4km above! I thought they are doing dryland more instead.
This training week they swam 60,000m. This was their second swim of the day, the first being 7000m
What make Bolt, speed runner, great is technique. However, what he does off of the track is key. Eating, exercise, mental strength. Also, Michael Phelps has big hands, big feet, and long legs. What do they do to overcome those disadvantages?
Hi, are those % in the TV in minute 3 a rule of three to the max heartbeat?
Yes percentage of max HR
@@TheSwimsuitGuy Thank you
何詩蓓❤❤❤
Wow…The poster shows Siohbhan Chinese Name
are they using polar verity sense heart rate for team? or what else? thanks
They are, I think if your gonna use polar you may as well just use @phlexswim though
@@TheSwimsuitGuy thanks for your kind reply. i don't use polar because it works only with apple. i am android fan and i didn't a team heart rate in real time like polar for android. thanks
Did Adarn chillingworth get his pulse and oxygen level from the microphone aswell.
Looks like it doesn’t it ahha
Where’s the lido vid
Coming at a later date.

One thing I have wondered about for a while is oxygen levels as you swim. For sure, if you go into debt, then you can not get it back. Watching the young woman using the 2, 2, 4 breathing pattern, I am wondering if she builds up an oxygen debt as compared to what a 2, 2, 2, breathing pattern would do. Think I saw one swimmer with one of those oxygen level things on his finger. I have guessed that it may be the reason Ariarne Titmus can beat Katie up to the 400 level, but not at the 800+ level....
She alternatives 2 and 4. On Adam’s finger is microphone
Well, never heard of the finger microphone. Being able to track oxygen levels could be handy. As some one who has to breath every other arm stroke, that breathing pattern seems strange. I tried for years to breath every 3rd stroke, and could never make more than 100 yards before I was gasping. Thanks for the reply.
@@robohippy it has a clip, for the shirt, Adam just put on his finger.
Siobhan is better when she doesn’t breath so every 4 would be ideal but as you said, doesn’t allow quite enough oxygen so the 4-2 works for now.
what set would you do to build 100 fly endurance?
I think 25s at 100 Race Pace go a long way!
like ultra short race pace training?

Nice seeing how elite swimmers train, too much gatekeepers in swimming
Couldn't find out anything online but is the HKSI pool open to the public?
It’s not, it’s just for the national athletes to train!
@@TheSwimsuitGuy ah, that's a shame! Looks like an amazing facility
