I remember Karen. She was another model who was in all of the magazines back in the 80s and 90s. She is beautiful. So very elegant and classy.
My absolute favorite supermodel of all time!! I used to rush to watch Style with Elsa Klensch on CNN every Saturday morning. They used Karen in the opening montage as she closed the Ralph Lauren show. I have never forgiven Eileen Ford for screaming at Karen to get out of her office saying she was ugly. Eileen🐄 Ford!! I used to know everything about the supermodels growing up and I remember Karen spoke about the incident in a fashion magazine.
Karen handled that so gracefully and she is still so positive and grateful for all the opportunities. Just a class act ❤❤

I love her modeling career. I had googled her a few years ago and it shows her married to a white European gentleman that was a photographer. Also did you know that Cynthia Bailey stated it was always a toss up between her and Karen Alexander for a job… “I would always get the job if she (Karen Alexander) didn’t want it”

I would especially love a video about The Battle of Versailles-the 1973 spectacular that pitted French designers against American designers. The black models are credited with saving the show and bringing respectability to American fashion 😁😁

I don’t know about anyone else, but as a medium skinned Black woman, I am sick to my guts of people referring to some Black women being too dark. Too dark for what?!? Dark skin is BEAUTIFUL! Crazy. I never knew who she was. I saw her in the movie, and wondered WHY she wasn’t on the mags, and, she was and I didn’t know it was her. Wow. Well, if her age isn’t known, I’ll guess she’s in her her 40’s…..no more than 51. The same age group as most of the group…..this woman is stunning. I’m so glad to know that she was a superstar model.
