O filme omitiu várias ações do grupo. Ficou incompleto.

That Ma Baker was no dull woman. Very interesting. That sure was some lame excuse she gave for leading her son's into a life of crime, because she had to wear hand me down drawers, from 7sisters. If she had used that brainiac mind she had, to pull crimes, she could have made her some drawers. It's rare to have sons once they get to 12yrs, and smell their drawers, obeying their mother. They usually think mom and dad are too square, to listen to them. I always admire mother's whose son's are that age, and still listen to their parents. Of course, I don't admire Ma Baker. If she had used her head right, with her son's eating out her hand like this, and kept them in school, she could have had one a doctor, one a lawyer, and any other worthwhile profession. She made her name famous, in a bad way, but had she done this she would have left a good name. So sad, even had the perfect husband, and father, what more could you ask for.

      GOLD CARD WHAT A TROLL

    • @trevormiles5852

I understand Vivien. I am with you 100%. I have been in prison 9 years and getting out next year. And this movie really hits home. Goldcard , i like your name . You sound rich, forget Vivien let's talk about us. shhh a guard is coming. Of course I am kidding . This movie does a great job of portraying what a bad life and bad HOME example can lead to. Nowadays we have a societal Ma Barker. Perhaps not as fragrant as encouraging criminal activity but absolutely criminally permissive. Ask our fellow beings in Seattle, we can see how that little social experiment went and is going and going and going. ( p.s I have never been in prison . Knock on shackles).

By all accounts Ma Barker did not participate in any of the hold ups or shoot outs.
On one hand; it would be right if this was clarified.
On the other hand; it would be one boring movie.
We all know now that Hoover was no hero. The vilification of this woman served the FBI's need to sensationslize small time gangsters.
Believing that organized crime was non existent, ignoring this country's most dangerous enemies, collecting dirt on politicians and going out on dates with his boyfriend; was all Hoover and his FBI was good for at the time.

I have to give Ma Barker credit. She was one smart woman. All the way to the end. I would say she was well above genius. And was as lethal as it comes, as a psychopath. ❤❤❤

No. There’s nothing at all smart in a life of crime…in the end it always destroys you, and those around you. Nothing “smart” about that.

The fact that it was made in 1960 is still late considering it has such a hillbillies feel to it. Good movie though

Even though this movie makes Mrs. Barker out to be ruthless, in reality she was highly moral and only turned to crime when it benefited her.

1:14-1:46 It's a strange feeling to think that most of those blokes and sheilas are dead now. I'm looking at shadows of people that don't exist anymore. Many of them are talking to me from the grave. Perhaps some of the boys and girls are still alive, but quite old anyway. It is a real miracle that I can see and hear them as they were at that time.
