@@WaltNastybro, I thought you did excellent work but in my entire professional career I always used fender covers 🤷🏼♂️, it’s better to not have to own up to something that can be avoided. It’s tough being called out for something trivial but he’s got a point, especially when someone dumps $60k into a truck man. You lose on this one.
@@WaltNasty no way you can lean over toyota crappy soft paint with your clothes and not mar and scratch the finish
@@WaltNastyyou be surprised if I would put detailers light to those fenders how many micro scratches and swirl marks you left on them.
Why not put the truck in reverse
Dang Toyota. I would be pissed.
that looks like a pain in the ass
10+ hours or more of his belt, shirt, pants rubbing against paint on customers truck. Not even one fender cover in side. At least use some plastic shrink wrap to cover them if dealer doesn't have fender protection mats.
Who gives a shit about paint when you’re engines are blowing up.
@williamdebene2394 they will replace engine thru warranty. Will they pay to recondition your paint.
I wonder how many bolts they have left over when they’re done… I wouldn’t buy a Tundra if they gave me a 1794 edition for $5,000.
And the recall pays you 5 hours 😆😆
Nothing busier than a Toyota mechanic.
Hate to be the one to break the bad news to all the ones concerned about standing on the wheels and lack of fender covers.
1-those wheels aren’t from this truck
2-if this tech is good enough to swap this engine this quickly, means he’s a pro, which means he’s wearing a mechanic’s belt, which don’t scratch cause they have a soft buckle.
3-driving any car on the highway or going through a car wash is far more violent on the paint and wheels than anything done in this video.
Thank you, I really I appreciate that alot, I got people lives there family the ones around them front back, I’m very serious about what I do, Not a game Not a joke. thanks for having my back.💯
The engine showed being connected to a transmission near the start of the video looks like a 4 cylinder.
That had 16k miles and body shop forgot to add transmission fluid smh
I wish Ford did this for their diesel trucks. Too bad all the money will go to Toyota…maybe.
Ohhhh deeeerppp my paint my paint on my work truck not my work truck paint scratch noooo
And how many more engine replacement are left?? LOL..
13.6 … if you know you know
should have stuck with the V8😂
Looks like trans replacement not engine
Only 100,000 to go.
Frame rot now engines 😂
8:00....tech is standing on your rims. I would not appreciate that.
Plug and Play- not
For the most part, it comes with everything. A few little things you transfer over. Nothing big.
What a pile of trash that new engine is…
Boy, the customer screwed on that deal. Brand new truck is junk.
Ok be honest. How many screws were not properly torqued and how many screws were left over in the bucket.
I would be pissed
I have two Tundra's. Both have V8's. I will never buy a V6 Twin Turbo Tundra. Toyota ruined this model.
I don’t like the way they’re doing this at all. They should have the fenders covered up with blankets or something and they due to standing on the tire. They’re gonna scratch everything. The way people are doing it. I am not impressed with at all. I hope nobody else does it the way these people are doing it. They don’t even care that’s a $70,000 truck and the way that they’re doing this job. It’s like no consideration for what the customers paid for this truck. i’ve been a diesel mechanic gas engines for 50 years and I I wouldn’t do it this way. I would do everything underneath first and then I work my way up on top so you’re not having to go underneath on top underneath them on top that’s just the way I would do it and I’d be more and be more organizing this because this thing is gonna have a bunch of damage by the time you guys are done with it
That's ridiculous.
Toyota Tundra new V6 engine is amazing. Every second oil change just make sure you swap the engine out with a new one. Nobody liked the old V8 lasting 1-2 million miles anyway. Overrated.
Omg... seeing how complicated this engine is, I will be staying away from it. I think toyota has lost its image and now it tries to borrow from bmw or audi with that type of engine design
what a mess toyota
