  • This is the second time we have ever seen a meet a Branchville! Expecting to see just the 5:21 arrive and depart Branchville, I saw a southbound shuttle waiting in the siding. So, I changed up the angle a bit and filmed it from, and shot it. Then, thinking maybe the southbound wasn't going anywhere, I started to cross the street when BOOM! The gates go off again and I started the film once more. Also, I hope you guys enjoy the new intro!! Thanks so much for all the views, and hopefully this one gets as much as the other meet!

    Nice catch of my favorite Shoreliner 4 Cab Car 6221 the last survivor CDOT Shoreliner 4 Cab Car 6221 meeting Metro North train 3840 to Danbury Cab Car 6221 reminds me of her sister 6222 when she derailed

    Cool how you got two unique Cab Cars in one shot, one being the Comet II with an E-Bell, and the other being the last remaining red-stripe center-door Cab.

      Yeah, it's cool especially because meets don't happen very often on the line.

      @@MillerRailfan according to the new schedule, when do they happen?

    • @MillerRailfan
      @MillerRailfan  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@greaternyrailfan The northbounder was 3840 which arrives Branchville at 5:19. The southbound train was a deadhead so the meet doesn't happen every day.

      It is along the Danbury branch, and even though there is a siding, a meet used to only occur 1 time a day, but since COVID, the only way to see one is what I did with a deadhead, which is why it's a big deal. I wish there were more meets and Metro-North took more advantage of the siding. Thanks!

      @Miller Railfan - Before the COVID schedule came, there were actually two meets, because I know you are thinking of the 1860 and 1889 meet, but that’s not the only one. In the morning, train 1841 would meet 1806 and 1806 would pull into siding.

      @@nerailvideos Yeah, I'm quite surprised by how little videos there are of the meet considering it happened twice a day. This catch wasn't your typical every day meet though. (Because there isn't a meet now on the schedule)

      Why does this crossing have 2 tracks i thought all of the Danbury branch railroad crossings have only 1 track😮
