Ok,I have seen this segment several times and it is still one of my favourites of the whole series. Jia the character is unrepentant and when she gets her comeuppance ,it is masterful! It clearly shows; 'You Reap What You Sow ' Wonderful just Wonderful!!!!!
the sad thing is, the imperial court and to a degree the emperor would never allow 4th prince to be the crowned prince. Because he comes from Jia Who isn't of their nationality, she comes from .. i believe the Joseon or Korean clan and therefor wouldnt have been of manchu or han blood.
While Consort Jia is fully from Korea/Joseon in the show I believe Yu clan is Manchu but Korean descent. Yongcheng might have been eligible for the emperor but someone like Yongzhang probably wouldn't bc Consort Chun is fully Han rather than Manchu Han

Consort Jia is a very tragic character. She devoted her life to a man who was only using her and she left with nothing but emptiness.
