I just bought a MARK BASS vacuum cleaner last week - Made in Italy... Very nice sound and great finish. It features a "Millerizer" filter which is excellent for removing animal hair into the carpet. 450€ at Thomann free delivery to your door.
I appreciate that they're trying to do something different, even though I didn't love the body shape or finishes on many of them. They sound great though.
I think the word here is "ugly". Kinda strange that a country known for some of the sexiest cars, clothes, shoes, well, everything, turned out some downright un-sexy basses, and then ya got Julia, who is arguably the sexiest bass player in the on-line bass review world playing it! At least she picked the gray one...
@@catboyzee does have to be said, it's not exactly the Zon shape, and it's also a bit Kiesel (Carvin as was) Bromberg/Fodera Monarch etc. etc.. Let's face it there are many double cutaway bass shapes similar to this. Yamaha and Ibanez both have lines that are similar to each other. At least its not another P or J bass.... oh....!
@Andrew Brent no dieback, but olive trees are periodically replaced when they are very old and no longer productive, so there is a small but steady supply of olive wood (which is not very useful, but nice looking and tonally interesting) The best part is Val di Fiemme spruce tho. This is really one of the best woods in the world, but a couple years ago a storm razed entire forests of 200 years old trees to the ground, with an incredible damage to the valley, so good on MarkBass for taking up some of it!
Yea it's a nice lil groove Victor Wooten did on a vid along time ago, not sure if it's an actual song of his or just a groove for that vid but it's awesome
About the strings... Why Thomann haven't all the strings in their catalog ? For example, would like to give a try at the Energy and Groove models in the lightest gauge but they have no 35-55-80-100 strings which I think is a bit stupid. No "MB4GVNP35100LS" at Thomann so what ?
For Loud and low you can afford Mark Bass is the brand to look toward . they easy to lift, easy to stow and always ready to go to the show! Ist das besser G? 🤣
Agreed. Too many Fender clones out there. "Hey this our new bass design. There's nothing like it on the market. This is the J bass model and this is the P bass model. Totally unique."
As I am not a MarkBass amps fan, due to the poorest value for money on the market, I am still skeptical about their bass guitars assuming that MarkBass maintain same commercial strategy, which is highly discussible!!!
5:06 Finally a girl, who doesn't try to look cute and sexy while playing, but making silly guitar faces instead, like the rest of us :) Which in her case is kinda cute anyway :)
Christ O mighty! If you know you're going to do a promo for a big time company get someone who is familiar with pubic speaking! Terrible presentation. Give me a shot at that! I've been playing bass 50 years and I specialize in public speaking.
I’m sooooo glad to finally hear one of these basses played! Nice work.
Love that bit of Victor Wooten at the end there. The basses look pretty good, love the fact they went with some more intricate wood choices for them.
Markbass is becoming a force in the bass world!

Again some great playing Julia 👍

I love her energy
Really liked the sound of these basses every solid straight forward sound Yes!
seems like he was watching Zon basses when he was "designing" that markbass...
Where are from the Zon basses?
Exactly. The body shape is similar to a Zon Legacy Elite.
@@catboyzee absolutely....Richard Bona used to play that model years ago...nothing "original" here!!!
@@davidedejana72 Yup.

Don't know if it was the bass, the amp, or the fingers behind the wheel... But that sounds real good.
Thank you Julia for the infos. I hope we can see you doing a serious test of these new basses.
Man I'm sold on those basses. Especially the fancy wood.
Olive wood is very attractive - as is Mango wood, as it goes - would love to see more Olive tops on instruments.

Great riff at the end, Julia! I had to grab my guitar and figure it out. The high E with low C and I-V chords sound cool
Yea it's a nice lil groove Victor Wooten did on a vid along time ago, not sure if it's an actual song of his or just a groove for that vid but it's awesome
Ya it's by Victor Wooten, it's a song he did with Bela Fleck and The Flecktones called "Sex In A Pan"!
When she plays the bass, her face expression is almost like Jaco Pastorius:)
wtf, Julia didn't get to play the special bass with the "Stradivarius" wood?
That bass does sound good.
Secret product demo at the end! Markbass Vacuum cleaner late 2020???
Beautiful basses and bass guitar sounds... perfect video.
blacK Crow at 6:47 sex in a pan - Victor Wooten
The wood isn't from Abruzzo, but from region of Trentino north of Italy in the "foresta dei violini"...
Body made of spruce from Paneveggio (Trentino) and top made of olive Wood from Abruzzo.
They all look gorgeous.!!!
Lovely flamed swamp ash 😎👌
Richard Bona designed the body shape? Sorry, I think you'll find Joe Zon designed that body shape.
Mastodon2 Music whoever designed it, it’s ugly as sin 🤷🏻lol
Looks like a Zon/Skiold body design
@@lakingscup Agreed lol.
Totally ZON... First thing on mind of a mid age bassist :p

Your playing has improved a lot in the last year, Julia! I remember those Harley Benton Pro demos and, wow!
How did the Markbass strings feel?
Hey Jeffrey Eagen, it felt good. But honestly I think you get used to new strings really quick.
Hope that helps. Cheer, Julia // Thomann
And what about the pbass body with single coils pickups on the right side??
They do know how to hit the mark 🎯
Badum tss // Guillaume

I predict that these basses and strings will go from the product range very quickly.
Han de ser carísimos, me quedo con los Cort que tienen electrónica hecha por ellos.
I kinda wanted to hear the fretless JB at 2:16 oh, well.
I love the Bona models, however, the last thing the world needs is another company making Fender Jazz bass copies.
The Peanut Vendor pffft never can have too many jazz basses
Agreed. Too many Fender clones out there. "Hey this our new bass design. There's nothing like it on the market. This is the J bass model and this is the P bass model. Totally unique."
No multi scale :(
Kinda liked the ol-fashion p-bass that we never got to hear. If I had a choice, not a p-bass kinda guy but that’s what stood out for me.
He seems nervous to be on camera.
Too busy thinking about rocking that weird Danish chick's body.
Hahaha
Julia would make me nervous too 😊
Ferrous McGarrus she’s Austrian
Nice!
Cool video, and lovely sounding basses. But also a massive Orange amps advertisment. 5.51
What's the music piece from the ending called?
Hey, it is from Victor Wooten and called “Sex in a Pan”
Cheers, Julia
@@ThomannsGuitarsBasses Thank you Julia
Wonder what the others look like, this guy kinda knows his stuff..
Interesting development with bass amp manufacturers going into making basses. Is the amp market dying? Maybe . . .
They go up to 11 ! 😉
In Italy small liutery make awesome basses , for every taste. seems weird to see a mass production attempt. The girl real enjoy those .
Looks like a Zon body to me
"yes! Mountains!"

At Namm 2021 Markbass will introduce Markbass pizza pasta :)
...as an original design no less!😂😂
The bass violin was first made in Italy. They are late in the game.

Zon legacy
Has a nice high end but the low end is quite anemic.
That is a totally useless sales guy
He's been with them forever and he's always come across like a weird alien trying to remember his lines.
How to discover the products in real time ! :-)
Such a Hootie Tootie Disco Cutie.
Hey, that chick plays quite well
does she has her own sound cause she's copying everyone else so I don't know what she sounds like
Plant trees 🌲 🌳... make BASSES...
Ripped off the body shape from Wishbass...
She's cute and plays a mean bass. He's clueless

no make up ? Its Okay
I like to mention the lack of bass playing on make-up tutorials.
Fuckin sexist pig
@@eveythingthatsadam the guy probably studies pick up artist tutorials
wood nice body shape terrible
Lowkey ugly looking bass. No offense to R.Bona who I respect and musically love. The design is a hard pass though.
Ugly looks, sounds......flat!
Very cool Julia !!! Nice playing.🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
