- shudders Clown Man... why doth this vile beast exist?! That aside, his stage is what I would refer to as "painfully average". The music is easily forgotten, the gimmicks can easily become irritating, and the enemies are annoying. I do like all the little pushies scattered around though... so cute~ The train portion of the stage also amuses me... but the stage loses points for the annoying jack-in-a-box gimmicks towards the end. A bell sounds every few seconds, and something happens based on the symbol on the jack-in-a-box Mega Man is standing on. Do not really have much else to comment on, though... I definitely prefer Magic Man's stage.
Clown Man seems to have gone for the "creepy" clown look... and behaviour really. He is, surprisingly, the electrical robot master of this game... which is just weird, but eh. He performs various acrobatic attacks that can be tricky to dodge, as well as trying to grab Mega Man with the Thunder Claw. You also seem to not even be able to slide under him when he starts spinning around from above. He is definitely one of the games trickier robot master fights. His weakness can also get in your way if you miss Clown Man. It can end up floating you right up into him!

Watching these back reminds me why I really liked Mega Man 8. The weapons had actual function outside of battle.
Yep. This game has a nice variety of weapons.
I know it's an old as hell video... but Clown Man can easily be jumped over during his swing. It makes sense too, since he obviously has nothing in between his arms.

My god this is a core memory, I haven't looked at mega man 8 in like 20 years... And I remember this one the most bc it made me extremely irritated and the music got stuck in my head as a young kid.
This stage makes me uncomfortable. Not because of the boss himself. Because of the colors. I dunno why, but the clusterfuck of colors in this stage makes me wanna puke for some reason. And no, I'm not joking. I ACTUALLY felt sick.

in MM7 and 9 i have to farm for quite some time to get the good powerups.
i love how the enemies weakness actually effects their AI, and adds some new animations. i wish that was a trend in MM that stayed more often.
I don't know why but I always fought Clown Man first. Interesting to see how well Tornado Hold takes care of him. Thanks for enduring the pain that is Mega Man 8 for us! It's been so long since I played it...that fateful day I got it and a ps1 for christmas...
At least back then I was so excited it seemed like a great game.
When Miss Pink was kicking the Mega Ball at that creepy clown's face, I really thought it was out of spite. LOL.
@ZioIsPwnzor Do remember this is only my third time ever playing the game. XD No practice runs or anything with this game, just sit down and record and go with whatever comes out.

I love this stage and character, Despite his words making me want to stomp him out. It's a nice happy little fun level. Very colorful and actually feels like a world of it's own.
Y'know, I don't know if anyone posted this, but the sound when the Sisi Roll lands after each jump, he makes the same sound that Frost Walrus makes when he walks into the boss room for the first time. I found that... nice :)

Are you mostly a retro gamer when it comes to your videos or do you record some newer games (Heavy Rain, God of War 3, etc). I know you only do games you like those were just serving as examples. Again a thousand apologies if this has already been asked.
To be honest, this stage is full of clowns (and the boss of the stage is the biggest one of them all)

You can also see the Pumpkin mini boss from Shade Man's stage from Mega Man in the room with the bolt, which is nice.
Was the last line in the description supossed to reference the famous horror novel/tv miniseries I think it might be supossed to reference?

@ZioIsPwnzor My guess regarding that line is that it's a misinterpretation (Either due to translating or the voice actor) of a line that probably went more like "I'll see you in your dreams!" which would imply that he'd haunt you in your nightmares. Obviously, this suits the creepy clown motif he has going.
If that wording was intentional, though...well, I don't really know what they were thinking.

I have played tf out of this game on Playstation and have re-downloaded it on PS3 and Steam. 0:30 I HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS in all the years I've played this damn game😂😂😂😂
as annoying as clown mans stage may be its gotta a lotta of memorbila. if you pay attention to the toys you can see characters and enimes. also for the mini boss I would recommend the Tornado hold because it can attack continuously
@GameRaiders101 Uhh... this game was made for the Playstation and the Sega Saturn, sooo... Nintendo definitely did NOT have anything to do with this game. XD This decision was purely made by Capcom.

This looks different than the original concept from Nintendo Power back in the 1990s, but granted that it came off more anime-quality, still...Keiji Inafune answered.
It's totally possible Clown Man & robots of the future have dreams, recent research in AI shows dreams, noise injections, are necessary to prevent overfitting.
Robots would actually turn out to be a lot like us, we're meat robots after all...
@LockeX007 It varies, really. There is a heavier emphasis on retro games simply because I do not like most games made these days, and also only own a Wii when it comes to newer consoles. Thus, I tend to stick to older consoles as they already have large libraries of games I enjoy. =n.n=

The mini boss is also a enemy from megaman and bass...why did they make it a mini boss?
Anyone else catch the Sisi and Shade Man Miniboss in the background at ~0:50? And the Ice Man, Guts Man G, and Slash Man Minibosses at 1:56?
I think Clown Man's stage music was quite chipper, and I would advise at least setting Mega Balls during the mini-boss as pseudo-traps.
@PinkKittyRose i agree with you on this i liked it when i was a kid then came the friken jet ski part in frost man then wily tower 1....that ruined the game for me after wily one
the mini boss can be easily killed by mega ball (the boss bounces in such a way that the mega ball will almost always hit)
2:08 you can use mega ball to get pass the mini boss part it's super easy you stand in a corner and keep on kicking the mega ball, and the mini boss will soon be defeated easily
2:07 - Well, Mega Ball isn't so useless. It is great against this boss, because considering his size and the fact that the mini-boss and the Mega Ball keeps bouncing around the room, you can grant your shots won't never miss.
Try and see. The damage is also good. I used around 5~8 Mega Balls to take him down.
It's still easy without the Mega Ball. But if you play the Rockman 8 FC (8-bit fan version), use Tornado Hold. Mega Ball won't be useful in this fan game.

I like this game. Sure, it's not the best Mega Man game, the voice acting is strange (Especially with Mega Man mispronouncing Bass' name), but the music is good, the graphics are nice and vibrant, and heck, the animated cutscenes are pretty cool!

I don't know why people hate clownman so much? His stage s really fun and cute, his theme is really cheerful and creative. THe boss design wasn't that bad either IMO. His unlocked weapon was also pretty cool

That's got to be one of your sloppier runs.. Still, it's not usual for you to forgo a no-damage run. I guess this upload can be overlooked. (In those terms at least.) heh! I appreciate they you didn't show every single warp box though. It kept the play-through moving to show only what was relevant.

you know i thought i had a pattern. i thought i knew what bosses in megaman games would be. but no this ones the odd one out. i could sit here and say what kinds of levels and bosses are in each game but that would take forever. at least thats one thing about this game. well two. one it breaks the pattern /chain of megaman bosses and their levels. two its just got a crapload of references. in that first part of the level in that little hallway i found 4 references. to megamans 1 and 7.

Personally, I prefer using the Mega ball at the mini-boss. It hits the boss AND his projectiles. =P
