Spirit Tracks at B hurts to see but I can definitely understand if you don't consider her personality and how she was in the story. Personally my favorite just because of how relevant she was in the game and how she basically acted as a second playable character for a lot of it (which I'm not sure we'll ever see again outside of spinoffs). Her relationship with Link in that game is super wholesome, too.
I generally agree if you’re talking about design alone, like you guys seem to be doing. But I went in thinking it was gonna be a tier list based on character and personality, in which case Spirit Tracks Zelda being that low is a crime! Anyways, great video guys :)

Ngl before TOTK release I wasn’t a fan of the short hair, but honestly it’s grown on me. It suits the practical style Zelda needed in the new Hyrule, she looks cute with it in the Zonai outfit, and while she still could have pulled off long hair, I have it on about the same level as the Botw design now (though Botw snow outfit is peak, SSS tier for that)
Four Swords/Four Swords Adventures Zelda… is the only toon Zelda with a different design. Surprised she was excluded. Tetra is also in Phantom Hourglass, of course, but… obviously, not any difference there from Wind Waker. Glad you gave Patricia Summersett a shoutout! 😊
I really did NOT like Zelda's design in BOTW, and felt like the direction they took in TOTK was a massive improvement. In particular, the construction of her outfits in BOTW confused me, though I did like the color scheme (blue, white, gold). I just think her green outfit in TOTK is more unique and fun, especially with the short hair and eye-catching jewelry. By far, my favorite Zelda design is from Twilight Princess. She's so regal in that one. The light purple (royal/spiritual/wise) was a nice departure from princess pink (sweet/innocent). The thought put into her hair, her outfit, her makeup, her weapons, her personality - ugh, stop, she's perfect 😍
What about Age of Calamity’s Zelda? Sure outfit wise basically the same as BOTW. But character wise she develops the more than any other Zelda. By the end she is a BADASS and deserves a spot on the list.
What about the 4 Swords and Hyrule Warriors Zeldas? That said, I love the snow outfit Zelda has in Breath of the Wild and Age of Calamity. It's elegant but work-worthy.
Fun Fact for those who didn't know or simply just forgot for some reason: Ocarina of Time featured Princess Zelda both as an adult and child. She was also featured in a flashback in Majora's Mask. And both games came out before Oracle of Seasons and Ages. Also, the Four Swords games are so underrated, it's sad.
Missed 2 really good Zeldas! Hyrule Warriors (she's gorgeous and kicks butt!) and Smash has interesting mixes of Zeldas. (Ultimate had a great rendition of A Link Between Worlds where she's more human-proportioned like Kit wanted!) Cadence of Hyrule has a good one, and it would have been fun to see the CD-i or Zelda cartoons show up. Still a great video!

The Twilight Princess Zelda was the one I was formerly introduced to after only hearing the name for over a decade. But the Link to the Past version is my favorite, especially the Smash Bros Ultimate design.

For example Wind Waker's Zelda is the same Zelda in Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks or even A Link to the Past's Zelda is the same Zelda in the Oracle games. Now for Zelda 2's Princess Zelda she was actually put under a sleeping spell before the events of the original Legend of Zelda. Skyward Sword's Zelda this takes place pretty much at the very beginning of the timeline before there was a royal family of Hyrule. Other than that I really enjoyed your video and will check out your other videos of ranking Link and Ganondorf :)
Not a fan of the Celda Wind Waker aesthetic for the character models if I am being honest. I don't mind cell-shading of the game's world necessarily either. Its simply the proportions and character model designs they went with during that time period. Skyward Sword and BotW/ToTK are both better compromises between cell-shading aesthetic and character proportions. What makes it worse is that Nintendo, in a rather unprecedented move for the time, stuck with these designs for their characters for A LONG TIME. We are talking from Wind Waker, to Four Swords, to The Minish Cap, and Four Swords Adventures. Not to mention both the DS games as well. For a design choice that got a lot of blow back from fans, Nintendo sure did stick with it for such a long time, only taking a break from it to release Twilight Princess to cater to demand for something more grounded and "realistic".
You should put Zelda of skyward sword in S Tier ... she is perfect there with sassy and humble but in the end a goddess look and she is the zelda with the most emotionally and romantically closes to Link... 💖
Zelda Link Between Worlds is easily an A/S if you look at her updated look in Smash ultimate. She's adorable. For design Twilight Princess is my fav but personality would probably be Skyward Sword.
S+ for Skyward Sword Zelda, I loved how she progressed from the spirited childhood friend to full fledged goddess and how she is fully in the drivers seat with regard to her relationship with Link. She pushes Link off a cliff for starters! I know there’s no such grade as S+ but Skyward Sword was special for me, I’m one of the weird ones that likes it better than BotW. 😅 S for Breath of the Wild Zelda, love that she’s a nerd and her arc of that coming into conflict with what her father wants her to be. You guys won me over with your argument on Ocarina of Time Zelda, I didn’t like her as much but she is very well rounded. The fact that she helps Link while in disguise is huge. A for Twilight Princess Zelda, my second favorite visual design (and the first I was exposed to, blonde Zelda took some getting used to). While she has less attention the sacrifice for the kingdom story she does get is good. Wind Waker Zelda also gets this grade for Tetra. B for Spirit Tracks, she’s a little stereotypical (eek rats) but at least she had an active role. You won me over on Link to the Past enough that I would put her up here. All other Zelda’s get C or below in my book, forgettable, generic, or not fully fleshed out. The number one thing I want every time a Zelda game is more Zelda. I might give a small bump to the Zelda’s that were already friends with Link versus the ones that just sit in the castle (eg Minish Cap). Tears Zelda doesn’t get a score yet, hoping she plays an active role with the Zonai while waiting for Link to find her. Spin-off Zeldas maybe need a closer look, trying to remember what Hyrule Warriors Zelda was like or the Zelda from Cadence of Hyrule.
Less than two minutes in an already a mistake lol. That is not the same Zelda who is asleep, that is a different Zelda entirely who was asleep long before the events of even the first game.
My favorite Zeldas are from SS and TotK. The story really revolves around Link and Zelda's relationship in SS, and it makes it more impactful. I also love the designs of both of them. Zelda really looks good in short hair imo, and that Zonai dress she's in is probably one of my favorite dresses of hers. The ALttP and ALBW design is also good. Same with the toon Zeldas. OoT, TP, and the OG Zeldas aren't my favorite. The OG's do look generic, and while the dresses from TP and OoT are detailed, how Zelda is written in these games aren't the best. Oracle Zelda just looks like OoT Zelda. But if Marin was Zelda, she'd be up there with SS and TotK Zelda in my book.

Firstly, she isn’t a princess in that game, only a regular village girl, and secondly, she’s only expressive and funny at the start before her goddess arc for the rest of the game.
Yeah Spirit Tracks Zelda is maybe too much in design like Wind Waker but her personality and the ability to inhabit the Phantom armor... cmon. That's an easy S-Tier for me.
Skyward Sword Zelda seems the most date-able. Her outfit is more toned down, so she's more approachable. Her personality is also great: responsible and supportive but also a bit of a wildness to her. Yowza. Twilight Princess Zelda seems like the best leadership Zelda. Idk she just looks and acts the part.

I might give a small bump to the Zelda’s that were already friends with Link versus the ones that just sit in the castle (eg Minish Cap). Tears Zelda doesn’t get a score yet, hoping she plays an active role with the Zonai while waiting for Link to find her. Spin-off Zeldas maybe need a closer look, trying to remember what Hyrule Warriors Zelda was like or the Zelda from Cadence of Hyrule.

Less than two minutes in an already a mistake lol. That is not the same Zelda who is asleep, that is a different Zelda entirely who was asleep long before the events of even the first game.

My favorite Zeldas are from SS and TotK. The story really revolves around Link and Zelda's relationship in SS, and it makes it more impactful. I also love the designs of both of them. Zelda really looks good in short hair imo, and that Zonai dress she's in is probably one of my favorite dresses of hers. The ALttP and ALBW design is also good. Same with the toon Zeldas. OoT, TP, and the OG Zeldas aren't my favorite. The OG's do look generic, and while the dresses from TP and OoT are detailed, how Zelda is written in these games aren't the best. Oracle Zelda just looks like OoT Zelda. But if Marin was Zelda, she'd be up there with SS and TotK Zelda in my book.

I always hated skyward sword princess Zelda, I felt like they just turned her into a dumb bubbly goofball.
Firstly, she isn’t a princess in that game, only a regular village girl, and secondly, she’s only expressive and funny at the start before her goddess arc for the rest of the game.

Yeah Spirit Tracks Zelda is maybe too much in design like Wind Waker but her personality and the ability to inhabit the Phantom armor... cmon. That's an easy S-Tier for me.

Skyward Sword Zelda seems the most date-able. Her outfit is more toned down, so she's more approachable. Her personality is also great: responsible and supportive but also a bit of a wildness to her. Yowza.
Twilight Princess Zelda seems like the best leadership Zelda. Idk she just looks and acts the part.
