The six partitas for keyboard form the last set of suites that Bach composed. They were composed between 1725 and 1730 or 1731.

doesnt everyone just wish Ms. Berrut would record alot of Bach. of course, its been done, but each pianists voice is so precious...i have listened to this YT a dozen times, and i listen to a dozen bach interpreters regularly, and never tire, going on 50 years of that listening. Hi Beatrice!

Beatrice is so talented in playing Bach. She once said Liszt is her favorite composer, but I am sure Bach must be her favorite composer as well.

I know what you mean by balance. I listen to both Bach and Wagner, of course Liszt as well.

Oh yes, both the human and artistic relationships between Liszt and Wagner were very strong and it is quite natural to feel close to both of them.

@@BeatriceBerrut Well, as far as we know, he had participated to certain extent to the developing efforts of Batholomeo Cristofori in producing dynamic keyboard instrument we consider today as the beginning of the modern piano. He had encouraged Cristofori's work, so we should assume he would for sure enjoy the abilities of modern piano instruments and take advantage from them without much hasitating, I think. His musical taste wouldn't miss the beauty of its expressiveness and clarity of its tone...
Capriccio: the ultimate test for any pianist aspiring to become a true Bach interpreter worthy of the composer. Test passed with flying colours.
