@Parking_lot182 I still play it manages to get the ultimate collection for free before they got rid of it. I'm sure you can still download Sims 2 illegally. With mods etc it is a great game. Just could not get into Sims 4! Very excited for paralives also!
@@rockersteph3959 there is most definitely a way to download the full game, and in my humble opinion, it doesn't count as being not legal if EA refuses to sell it anywhere. Use a VPN to aquire it! The only way to get it so-called Legally, is to buy used copies, and EA wouldn't see any profit from that anyhow. I would happily purchase it if they sold it again, but, their loss.
I still feel the sims2 had the BEST realism out of all games. The weeds in the yard, the filthy tub, the toilet clogging, the memories system. And soooo much more! This is what the sims 4 lacks. With mods, it helps, but still
If sims 4 had this level of depth, it would honestly be so much better. The animations and so many small details, very realistic gameplay wise, they don't just appear in their vehicles or just have food appear they actually interact with the world and do it. Mods can improve Sims 4 sure, but even still it can't achieve that Sims 2 level of depth, like Open For Business was always my favorite, the restaurant and stores functioned so flawlessly. I've been sad that newer entries in sims lacked everything. EA should have kept adding more, not taking away.
For me the realism is the chess board in Sims 2!! If you watch them play chess, you can see real moves being made on the board. In Sims 4 the chess board is just blurry with the chess pieces in random places. The detail to little things like that makes me appreciate Sims 2 and 3 more.
I was just talking about how the effort you have to put into sims 4 to make it even close to sims 2 is soooo much. Sims 4 is fun. I love building in it. I also have almost every pack and STILL have it very modded. It STILL isn’t as good as sims 2.
You need to get rid of the weeds in the garden. If a sim has a low environment score before going to work it will effect their chance of promotions. Anything negative on the lot will give them a low environment score
I really don't know why, but "Why did Mortimer Goth come to my house just to shove me? - and now there's a skunk" really had me laughing for a good few minutes...
I played this family and gave Brandi her lifetime aspiration which was something like 'have 10 kids'. It was really fun and challenging! Love the Sims 2, enjoyed watching this!
the “look through” interaction on the telescope is actually spying on your neighbors, that’s why he keeps shoving you. also, you can only search for constellations when it’s dark if it’s before 6AM :)
Mortimer is the one that comes to yell at you for spying on the neighbors. Only kids can safely look through the telescope during daylight hours. I knew that was coming when Brandi was looking through the telescope during daylight hours. When he dies, John Burb takes over (I think). In Strangetown, it's Vicund Curious. In Veronaville, I think it's Consort Capp. Brandi had the skills, but not the work performance. Her motives and aspiration need to be high to max out performance. You didn't fire her, she quit. The skunk shows up when someone has pretty low hygiene. Toby is a clone of Brandi. I always name him Bobby after his grandfather. The best paying hobby is fishing. Not much at first, but eventually you will really get the simoleans. Honestly it pays better than most adult jobs. Kids can do it. It's good for fun and social.

I was waiting for this! I really like this series. A quick note: You can only age up npcs like that. You need to play townies to age them up. So, you would need to play the Pleasants to age up Angela. But maybe there is a cheat for that.
I don't usually care too much for the pre-made Sims, but after watching your first video I was inspired to play the Broke family. I've been doing things pretty differently. Dustin just went to college, I didn't get Brandi a job until the youngest (I called him Trey) was a child. Plus I got 2 dogs. I'm thinking about working up to Brandi's lifetime wish. Money is still really tight, I like to buy things 😅
