In my gameplay, I've found the fastest method of becoming a celebrity is by mainly writing. In addition I live stream constantly, when the battery dies and sits for 1 second its back to full charge so just constant streaming. Also if you don't care about reputation, the fame perks from level 3 + 4 of the bad reputation branch helps increase fame a lot as well. Hope this is informative and thanks for the video :D

My freelance programmer always gets fame in no time by doing the website design job. A little absurd. The freelancers boyfriend was an actor and she upstaged him hard. Also the business career gets a lot of fame by reporting dirty money but the freelancer route doesn't give her terrible mood let's from being fired every other day.

‘Risky’ moves will always work if your Sim is feeling confident. I always send mine to the sink to brush teeth and mirror to psych themselves up just before they start. Then risky all they way!
I normally paint to B-lister, then start cutting/releasing tracks on the music mixer. It's not the tracks with the biggest fame, it's going to bars when it's busy because it ALWAYS plays on the radio and everyone gathers around, and fame shoots up insanely fast to get to global superstar.
I've found that having drones follow you around livestreaming everything you do is basically a way to speedrun a rise to fame. I once had a sim basically knit any time she wasn't tending to basic needs, while live streaming constantly, and she was a 5 star celebrity by the time she maxed out her knitting skill.
While I believe this is probably true, sims who aren’t celebrities (or have low celebrity rating I think) get a negative moodlet about being an imposter, and not being a celebrity but living in a lot with the “celebrity home” trait which annoys me a lot. I didn’t know it helps your sim gain fame faster though, thank you!
Is this true? Although the trait description says it, nothing in the game actually indicates that. You get an embarrassed moodlet if you’re not at least L4 fame, and a happy moodlet if you are. Is there anything in the code about increased fame gain, even for lower fame level Sims?
@@BobSmith-qn3ii As long as at least one sim living there is a proper celebrity, all other household sims benefit from the increased fame gain. Though, I’m not sure if it works if for regular sims. I understand the idea behind it, but It’s annoying.
I had my sim writing books bc she needed to improve writing for her career, and since finding a love for writing, my sim has become addicted to surfing fashion blogs and writing articles which has slowly amassed her 4k followers and 2 stars. She's getting famous on her free time. Meanwhile, i just want her to focus on her career and soon to be family.
I'm an impatient person when it comes to the Sims 4. I understand that it's hard to build your celebrity level because it's like that in real life. If I ever make my sim famous, I usually get them to a B-lister and then just give up because it takes a while after that.
I kinda do that too. One time I made my sim a writer and built his celebrity level up to the max and I accidentally made his wife a global celebrity and after I just got impatient with my other sims.
I found a lot of this gameplay quite accurate to creative careers lol. Being a 3 star celeb and having no money. Doing an acting job and then not actually getting paid for it right away and also it being a bit underpaid for all the work involved, yup accurate. The problem is despite all the underpaid profit for effort, you still need to look fancy and sometimes even spend money to push your way through the next leg of your career. If it all works out, you might hit big money. But you can have quite a big name in a hit show and still be making average money at most.

I recently just tried to get to the global star and the way I did this was painting, I did rags to riches and now i have about 600,000 simoleons. I did this by mainly completing the painting aspiration and the money aspiration as well and using the points I've earned from that to get more money. I also used the line that gets you the most money in the fame powerups or whatever. (This is the one all the way to the right) and I spent almost all of my points on that side. Overall this really helped me and it really really helps if you mentor your kids and get more money too!!!
Always love your tests and pushing the limits of the game primarily without overly relying on shortcuts (we can let jumping to “true loves” slide for convenience)! Amazing how many videos you produce and all your effort, it’s so enjoyable and you’re building and rising, keep it up - you deserve to be a star celebrity to the Sims community and I’m shocked the vast majority haven’t discovered you yet! It’s a matter of time! Oh by the way, if you haven’t explored Oni’s cooking mod/recipes and all the fantastic crafting/skill mods from PiedPiper I bet that’d be fun to explore!
This is the path my first famous sims took as well to become famous. At celebrity level 5 and maxed out the acting career they can earn over 30.000 simoleons per show.
for me, i find making songs (not licensing them on an instrument) on the music table thing that comes with Get famous helps earn money and fame fairly quickly
I feel like it's really hard to get up in stars. Which makes sense. I usually do paintings and live streaming with the drone. Good video, Brit! I've been loving the sims again. I'm currently doing a new let's play. I found a mod that allows you to give your sim aspergers. So im playing with a set of female/male twins and the main sim who has a crush on both of them. The male sim has aspergers. I love mods that make the sims more realistic.

when i made my first celebrity i didnt even know it and oneday i realised my sim was a global superstar, i wanted to make some of my other sims superstars but tis so hard to make them famous, idk how i got my one sim famous so conveniently..

Getting past two stars is always a struggle for me unless they’re a writer or painter. I HATE how hard it is to be a famous musician though, like you cant license a song more than once a week??? How will you ever get famous that way? I know there are things to do on the side to boost it but honestly making songs should be enough, there just shouldnt be a limit on how many you can release a week. Why is there a limit with songs but not books?? Especially because songs take so long to make in the sims its like damn I deserve for this work to actually pay off. I never do meet and greets or become friends with other famous sims so that could be part of why its hard for me. Its so annoying though because i have a couple where one of them is at the top level of the comedy career and the other is a social media person and they’re both stuck at 2 stars. Its SO hard to get famous as a comedian in the sims even though ive been making him stream and make videos every day

I made my sim a musician too, and I learned that writing a jingle is great money. You don't pay for canvas/paint like a painter (the 100 simoleons), it's quicker, and way more lucrative from the very beginning of the career. I was raking in money very early on lol. Sometimes you have to repair the piano/keyboard but that's easy, and a guitar doesn't need repairing from what i saw.

My sim wrote like 15 music sheets of unfinished songs and I didn’t know that 😂 But I’m in a base game (year 2023). Maybe they changed that with dlc.
It would be so cool if there was a mod to customize the gigs and have different acting gigs and then actually see your famous sims on tv and have new movie options whenever famous sims do a gig like unlock new movies for the tv. Or if you could play the role of director and put together your own movie w the props they gave like choose the genre and stuff like that. The famous actresses they’re famous but then we never see the product of what they do🙃
Easiest way to get your fame up, is to buy a drone, and stream every activity, yes even showering! You get 125-150 every 5 minutes (real world time) 👌🏼

With the acting career, you can change acting agencies when you get higher up and you get better gigs. You can also put on the performing arts NAP and all gigs get more money.

why didn´t you just repair the drone yourself? even though you don´t have the skill you will still succeed and build skill. and later on you have to level handiness up to get another gig
I’m not exactly sure what I’ve done differently but I switched the acting company I worked for and got gigs paying over 6k simoleons and didn’t have to go to auditions.
Quickest way to get famous is to be good and get the perk where you can donate stuff to fans. Just,,,, buy shit and donate it. You can donate almost everything.
You can raise her fame faster by gaining a good reputation - just befriend a couple sims and get the friendship up to the max. With good rep you can easily get job offers as a writer, singer or actress you would have to work for for a long time.

7:49 there's a glitch where if you go to an audition while off your home lot, you fail the audition.

You can raise her fame faster by gaining a good reputation - just befriend a couple sims and get the friendship up to the max. With good rep you can easily get job offers as a writer, singer or actress you would have to work for for a long time.
