It seems like the Sims 2 is way more realistic with making money. Especially when you think of fishing in the Sims 4, and you can just find an electronic tablet for $1,000 and it works still xD
I just picked up Sims 2 up again after 5 years of just playing Sims 4. And now I officially know EA ruined the Sims franchise because I forgot how good and challenging the game is. My sims can have unrequited loves now so I have more ways to make them miserable. lmao. I use so many mods just to make Sims 4 interesting and add some challenge to it.
Tbh there’s so many amazing mods for sims 4 I’d have no issue with it thanks to the mods but the game getting a pack or patch every month or two ruins the mods and I don’t have time checking for conflicts all the time
I wouldn't say it's ruined, Sims 4 is just much more sandbox imo, which can have its upsides and it's very compatible with CC and mods (at least on PC). Where I think Sims 4 goes wrong is the prices and amount of DLC and the bugs that just keep piling on (this was also an issue in the Sims 3).
The sims 2 also has tons of mods and cc- even still being made today. I have no idea how people justify a $1000 game (with all EA DLC) by saying that it has good CC and mods.
@@Banana34598 I love the Sims 2 as well, but I don't think it's a point against sims 4 that it has mods, base game can be fun with mods for instance (=cheap). Sims 2 is probably the best of the franchise in terms of uniqueness , style and personalities, but as a builder I definitely prefer Sims 4. That being said, I agree the DLC's are too expensive and too many (a lot of it should be base game).
Love seeing you play more Sims 2! As someone who plays both 2 and 4, I've noticed that the Sims 2 has so many features that it's hard to learn them all at first, so the game gets more fun as you play it. Things will come more naturally and and now I WAAAYYY prefer the Sims 2 to the Sims 4, especially with mods! Edit: I just noticed at the end that you appear to be using an aging mod by itself to set their ages. I highly recommend using the Sim Blender instead, it's like MC Command Center, a little bit of everything instead of having to download a bunch of weirdly specific mods.
In The Sims 4 the skill building speed depends on the current emotion, while in The Sims 2 it depends on the current season. I think in TS2 Autumn is the only season which has the quicker skill building speed, others don’t have any impact. I know however that seasons have an impact on relationship building in TS2. This game has so many Easter Eggs!
@@syncopatedgloryyeah, since you have to buy the canvas. If you’ve got a low skill level, your sim will make either just the money that you spent on the cavas back, or negative money
IIRC with the SIms 2, the value of the painting is a mixture of the level of the creativity skill at the time and the mood, so the final painting will have only been worth about as much as a creativity level 9 one
I forgot how realistic Sims 2 was. It literally was hard for a sim to survive without motherload cheat code of course lol but I loved that about it. Playing it as a child was just so fun & I don’t think I would have had as much fun if I was a kid Discovering Sims 3 & 4 compared to me discovering Sims 1 & 2 lol I’ve been playing since I was about 7 & I’m 26. I need to get another laptop, my last one went out bc of a bad mod 💀
Tina will most likely resent her parents..... well still isn't real life so she might get over it before she reaches YA. I just know that is a pretty bad deal and her family doesn't even clean up after themselves which is horrible. I'm glad that you forced their hand to get the kitchen back in order and unclog the commode
@@raapyna8544 with the kids oven I seen in this episode they eventually gain a skill enough to make a whole plate of muffins. Which can be sold with the lemonade stand
As I know, paintings in Sims 2 become more expensive the more you make them. It's not really depends on skill. Like if your sim never painted a single piece, and you cheated 10 art skill for them, they still gonna make cheap painting.
I was hoping you’d do this in the sims 2! I’m so glad you did! It doesn’t run well on my computer so I live through you lol. I’d be really interested in a part 2
I think it would be a little cheaper to buy groceries at the grocery store instead of using delivery every time. Anyways, loved to see some the Sims 2 play, it's still my favourite :)
I was just watching Napoleon Dynamite last night & when you yelled at Tina checking the fridge I was waiting for you to say “TINA YOU FAT LARD, GET SOME DINNER!”😂 (or I guess technically it was breakfast time lol)
I'm glad I'm not the only one who does challenges like this. When I do, I have them max out or nearly max out the creativity skill as a toddler. To increase the challenge, I put the family in an apartment. Bills and rent are expensive so it's fun :)
i don't even want to know how easy this must have been in ts4, but the ts2 version was actually pretty interesting to watch because we didn't have the stock "everything is easy in this game" answer lol. 16 simoleons for that lemonade though! mary-ann must have gotten some for the entire family AND daniel's other woman 😶🌫️
Next time Tina should put her foot down on them forking out for delivery fees lol. In sims 2 you can send your sim to the community grocery store to pick up! Put one of those parents to work or make Tina do the shopping!
Can you do a video where your married but you have babies with all of the main man characters and see if your husband find out please. 🙏 love your videos ❤
still not watched the video but I'm gonna say no, they barely live with the adult's income Edit: amazing video as always, I also want to see Tina again!

Early prediction: Absolutely not. Because Sims 2 understood that children can’t support parents! XD
My head was like "Short answer, NO. Long answer, nooooo"
20 years since it was released, still the best game in the whole franchise. 💪

In the sims 4 you have to pay to paint so sometimes you make negative simoleons as you don’t make the money back
what!!
@@syncopatedgloryyeah, since you have to buy the canvas. If you’ve got a low skill level, your sim will make either just the money that you spent on the cavas back, or negative money
Whenever I get my sim to paint that only happens once or twice, though. After like two paintings you start making profit.
Pro Tip: Use the telescope and you can earn $500 simolenons for finding new constellations.
P.S Love your videos

YESS a new video ! Excited. Your videos are always so funny omg, it makes me wanna play sims.
The British simstubers are hilarious. I like WhinyBrit and SatchOnSims the most. Way more interesting and wayyy less ass-kissy with EA.

This was hilarious and interesting! I like how the parents are always in their underwear/pjs 😂
Ohhhh yeahhh 😊 love when you do these videos! ❤ watching your sims 2 videos reminds me how great sims 2 really is!!
You can actually sell baked goods with a table like the lemonade
In Sims 2? I don't think so. Unless you have a home business.
@@raapyna8544 with the kids oven I seen in this episode they eventually gain a skill enough to make a whole plate of muffins. Which can be sold with the lemonade stand
Keep it going! :) I want to see Tina take care of her no-good lazy family into adulthood!

Or when they learn creativity skill through something else like playing an instrument? So it's like a hidden skill, whether they can also paint?
Just a little tip: looking at painting or decorations will forfill the need for fun way faster than playing with toys or watching TV!

I would love to see part 2❤ I think it will be awesome!! She is a Rockstar for sure! ❤
I knew that eventually my name (Tina) would be used but this one was a little to close to home pffft Great video as always ~
could you try do do a single mom with 7 KIDS in the sims 4 and keep them all until they are all teens???

in sims 2 is many secret skills, one of them is painting skill. when creativity is maxed then painting skill is getting better very quickly. :)
Was thrown by 'go on, go take a shit!' as you are so well spoken I wasn't expecting that! nice video :)
