Living a simple life isn't about the size of your house, how much money or possessions you have but rather the way in which you choose to live. We chose a simple, minimalistic way.

You can take the girl out of the province, but you can't take the province out of the girl! A very true statement. It all comes back naturally. My wife is the same when she goes back home to Samar. She wears plain clothes, tee shirts and such. Washes the clothes and cooks on wood. There are some that act like queens when they go back. Good to see Jane remembers where she is from. You guys are very fortunate and seem very happy in your progress. Take care and have a great time!

Truth is the real simplicity and happiness of Life is in the province.. I choose province over in a crowded, busy,stressful way of life of city.

I always like how I'd see neighbors looking out for each other province mountain's. Most folk's there didn't have refrigerators and would share food with family and friends; as not to waist it. I would also pass by folk's homes and the porch and doorway would be packed at night with neighbor's while they shared their television keeping everyone entertained. Very cool.
Simple lifestyle but full of life ...be happy and enjoy life.
living in countryside reminds my childhood days with grandparents fresh fruits n vegetable,fresh air very calm surrounding having some chores in the ricefield.

Yes, get a basic washer with a spinner. Clothes are almost dry after spinning. But, after moving into your house a fully automatic washer would be nice. Hanging outside though is the best way to dry.
I miss the simplicity of provincial life!
It’s ironic how I can actually miss that type of “the simple life “ ....I do reminisce of life back then, even the people were more laid back and polite.....it still is

Washing clothes the way Jane just did is something that I don't miss. I love whoever invented the washing machine.

No place like home ...i am gone when i was 23 now iam 50 i hope i can go home ages 63 . ..too much to handle bills and needs of family .. U cant say never ...its easy to go back we used to be...... because we knew it already ....why worry ...be happy life too short....pandemic give us chance to think ...we cant find happiness on mcbook ..Lv ,Mk ,nice cars ...we get older paying credit cards ...its enough ....we need to live the life we deserved ...live simple and happy ...
I ARRIVED here in USA at the age of 27 and now ITS 2021 ALWAYS thinking of going home to PILIPINAS KUNG MAHAL but of this PANDEMIC, "LET'S HANG ON " IT LOOKS LIKE GOING HOME IS A LONG RANGE PLAN. LETS JUST BE POSITIVE..

Jane since being here for six years I've found that replacing the hangers with stainless is cost effective as the plastic breaks down with the harsh sun 45peso each on Lazada...oh my goodness Jane back breaking byhand washing a plastic basic washer at least saves some of the work, enjoy your journey Adam and Jane, I recon it's harder for your daughter though🤔🤔♥️♥️😃
Great advice my friend. Lazada is something I'm sure we will need to use at some point or another but we have been surprised how even in the province now there is so much available 😊
That kind of living very economical 600 USD MONTHLY YOU CAN SURVIVE TO LIVE.
That's the reality in province very simple life and you can find more relaxing place. And even Filipino are friendly God Bless and feel free here in the Philippines.

You cannot go wrong with a Filipina who grew up in the province. They can adapt to almost any lifestyle. My mother is a probinsyana. She's a good cook. She knows how to adjust to any work in the U.S. immediately, though she finished grade school only. What I can only say, you two make a good pair. All praises to you two.

Nice you guys made it out of quarantine finally... Love the dining table, we got the same one for my wife's family. And since your so close to our property will take you guys out to lunch next year (hopefully if all goes well) when we go back over in June for my step daughters college graduation. I cant remember the name but there is a nice restaurant just b4 you get the that Y in the road over the bridge heading into Ormoc. Good luck guys and it looks like your wife wants a washing machine really bad.. To bad they dont fit in cargo boxes.

I first asked myself.. why doesn't anyone in the philippines have a dryer but I soon realized that the heat outside probably does a better job lol. Also more cost effective on electricity
