The CBC Debate: Prof. Wandia Njoya’s Take

Dr Wandia Njoya explores developments in Kenya’s education sector since independence. She explains that the initial 7-6-3 system was designed to recreate a British style elite; 8-4-4 created more rounded Kenyans who were better critical thinkers; now we head into the uncertainties of the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC), which seems to be a throwback to the original 7-6-3 system. Dr Njoya also explores the implications of these developments.

why does she seem to be fighting this battle alone? is it lack of bravery, vested interests, or dis-empowerment on those who could speak for the ordinary mwananchi who forms the bulk of the majority in kenya. we are so confused we are following recommendations of the enemies within and without, giving them a hand at destroying the soul of this nation at a tender age. schools nowadays are used as legitimate instruments of control, try going aganist these headmasters and you will see dust as a parent. they are worse than colonialists concentration camps, history will vindicate prof in like 20 years time
