Yes, it looks similar as this howrah maidan to esplanade stretch is part of the same line as mentioned by you... in future esplanade to sealdah will commence, making the full line from howrah maidan to sector v.

@@sagnickdWith minimum knowledge of polity anybody would tell you that the subjects are divided among Centre and State. The development of the city comes under local govt i.e Municipal Corporation of Kolkata by funding of State govt. Here, metro comes under centre that's why this was completed in your lifetime. Had it under State Govt it would never had seen light of the day. MB is a jealous women and easily compromises people's welfare for mere politics. Whole credit goes to central government for completion of this project. Varanasi - Kolkata expressway's land acquisition has not started yet, whereas in Bihar, Jharkhand and UP all land acquisition complete and construction is about to begin.

Those red tiles on the floors look ugly. Would look more classy without those red tiles to create patterns on the floors (plain & simple). Would also be great to put up Bengali artworks at the entry and exit only without flooding the entire station interior with a load of artworks.
