I’ve heard other people saying that firebird pickups are a very special combination of single-coil clarity and noise cancelation. I can’t understand why more guitars aren’t made with them. Ive also heard that mini humbuckers have similar characteristics (but are different again). The St Vincent signature has three mini humbuckers and seems like a thought-leading design combining that sound with a very very cool new ergonomic shape. This guitar seems fantastic.
Definitely check out some firebird pickups. They most certainly are a sleeper pickup. I've yet to come across anybody who has played them who isn't blown away by them. Sunbear also offers them in normal/full-size humbucker housings
I can honestly say that they are fantastic! I definitely think firebird pickups are the way to go 👌🏻. A lot of people assume firebird pickups are just mini humbuckers but they do sound different! Still great but for different reasons! Everyone always says that a good guitar collection should include single coils (strat and Tele) and humbuckers (Les Paul etc) but I think we need to add firebird to that list 🤘🏻😄. The guitar is amazing! All of Karl’s guitars have blown me away! 👌🏻
Seems like it could be useful information but it feels like you have a lack of focus and direction. If a nice rambling conversation about a guitar your friend built with pups another friend built was your goal then well done. Great content, please consider a more accurate title.
