What’s about Gorbatschow what did he do hmm? He destroyed the ussr and the Berlin Wall he was the politischen who said that the wall should fall actually I don’t think it’s true anymore cause my grandpa told me this so idk xD
He does not think he brought down the wall, Einstein. He just feels honored to have helped bring hope to those in East Germany before it came down. FREEDOM
As a German myself, I can assure you that his song didn't bring down the wall, but it was something that connected with the passion for freedom in the people, that's why it was 8 weeks long no 1like he said. So it had technical a minor part in it all, I'll give him that. We Germans still love our Hoff, he's just adorable ❤️
Thank you confirming what I already know. The Hoff dropped the worst, out of the barn, Harley moto, eagle blazing freedom song. The timing was perfect. No other Hollywood shyte or ambassador of more shyte was there. Germans of this time period REVERE this song. He was more significant than I ever realized. Und zee SCORPIONS
I dare anyone here to go into a time machine, go to the berlin wall, sing about freedom while wearing a piano scarf and a leather jacket with flashing lights on it and come out unscathed. you can't beat that level of badass.
The wall was down before he got there. Look at the millions there. It was perfectly safe. The border guards have gone days before. Opportunistic yes. Badass no. What was truly Badass were the people who scaled it when it was fully operational and survived. Many didn't. It was a truly scary time. My wife is German. Her father was an engineer who had to cross it many times for work. It was terrifying. But then he was absolutely fearless and hard as nails.
+ODE - pardon us, but where is it in this video, that david mentions he thinks that he brought down the berlin wall? He never did and more importantly +DavidHasselhoff DOESN'T think he brought the berlin wall down.
If any musician had a role in the eventual fall of the wall it would be David Bowie in 1987 when he played Berlin and sang "Hero's". It was so loud east Germans on the other side could be heard singing along even while border guards were beating them back. Later bowie remarked that it broke his heart when he heard them singing along but couldn't join in because of the wall in between. The aggressive brutality used by the east german police to stop the singing was a big part in the change of mood of the citizens toward the east german government.
Wow, this is actually pretty pathetic: Not only has he explicitly stated over and over again in interviews (all over TH-cam, for anyone who actually cares) that he "had nothing to do with the end of the Berlin Wall" (as if that were even a remote possibility), at no point does he say or even imply it in this interview. I guess some folks simply don't care about facts, let alone about slandering and damaging the reputations of people they don't even know. That's pretty sad and not even close to being funny.
Dont hassel the hoff. As both a legitimate historian and someone who is very proud of their german heritage I can 100% confirm he brought down that wall, united our motherland and single handley ended communism
adoro ficar ouvindo David hasselhoff falando quanto mais ele fala eu posso sentir ele tão perto não importa que super máquina acabou ❤❤mais David Kitt continua muito vivo aqui dentro de mim
He's correct. Certain popular series they were forbidden to watch by the Stasi. The internet did not exist like today so all they had was letters and white label video cassettes. People today have a lot to learn from the 80's
That’s how you know Hasselhoff is an American. Part of Reagan’s success as a politician, like many Americans, was how he and his supporters completely mythologized him. We Americans often don’t care about the truth, because we find the lie more entertaining.
How very dare you suggest that The Hoff didn't tear down that goddamn wall with his bare voice.
Loool. Love it! Just watched this on Richard E Grant's Hotel secrets.
i like that i've seen you on more than one video about Hoff vs the Wall
What’s about Gorbatschow what did he do hmm? He destroyed the ussr and the Berlin Wall he was the politischen who said that the wall should fall actually I don’t think it’s true anymore cause my grandpa told me this so idk xD
Exactly!!!!
give this man the Nobel Peace Prize!
He does not think he brought down the wall, Einstein. He just feels honored to have helped bring hope to those in East Germany before it came down. FREEDOM
12/31 was 50 days after the fact.
No one thinks he brought it down.
We all know it
He shattered that wall down with his amazing vocals and don’t you ever forget it!

He did,shame on you
Shame on you he did he said looking for freedom boom germany is reunited
AS A GERMAN MYSELF i can assure you he brought down the berlin wall singlehandedly
@@populistleft9475 das glaubt der David nicht mal selbst, er erzählts nur gerne dummen Amis die jeden scheiß glauben. 😂
It was just the right song at the right place at the right time.
He never said that. He has said the opposite.
Exactly
He literally tore it down with his bare hands.
He and KITT tore the wall
down together in a KnightRider special episode.

Clickbait before clickbait ever even existed.
without him the wall would probably still be there
Nah it was clear earlier that day the wall would fall then the news reported it and david hasselhoff sang his (incredibly fitting and catchy) song
Yeah but still that mans is a inspiration
They'd have put up a second outer wall
Hoff brought down communism with his perm.
Yeah😂

Even in the Hoffs museum there is a plaque that says he tore down the wall himself. So must be true
The title of this video is completely incorrect. He doesn’t make that claim in this video and I’ve never seen him make that claim.
As a singer he was first number one in Austria with Night Rocker.

Dont huff at the hoff bro

Ronald Reagan said it, Mr. Hasselhoff tear down this wall and he did
He did!
adoro ficar ouvindo David hasselhoff falando quanto mais ele fala eu posso sentir ele tão perto não importa que super máquina acabou ❤❤mais David Kitt continua muito vivo aqui dentro de mim
The Hoff single handedly tore down the wall
He never once said he brought it down at all
He sang in Berlin 50 days after the wall fell.
He did, maybe 2 months to late but he did
He did kinda help bring it down in the hearts of many
He's correct. Certain popular series they were forbidden to watch by the Stasi. The internet did not exist like today so all they had was letters and white label video cassettes. People today have a lot to learn from the 80's
No one thinks he did he brought that wall down
Marvelous figure!
He tore it down with his big hammer aka purple emoji
I lived through this phase of german history - this is how it went down.
LOL. He, together with Chuck Norris.
His ego is cashing cheques his brain can't handle.
Hasselhoff brought down the Berliner Mauer.
Pide el divorcio relatiohip no

He’s right
LOL Reagan had nothing to do with it The Hoff is awesome but he did not tear down that wall
He was the soundtrack though.

Next is Ukraine Wall and Hong Kong Wall..... Trump's oversea wall is unbreakable
Come back all’s forgiven
Isn’t that the guy from the sponge bob movie
Yes
Does cartalker David know that "Looking for freedom" was released 10 years BEFORE the fall of Berlin wall?
Hoff of the Reichstag.
No just no

Hamburgler
He took it down with his bare hands...But in all seriousness, he should have kept it up.
Get back to work Hoff. Trumps wall needs to fall now
Wow, possibly the most narcissistic thing he's ever said! Hilarious
